Celebrity Curls - Lily Cole

Lily has been seen wearing pretty much every hairstyle imaginable but, for me, I think of  the romantic waves and curls she is often seen with as her most enchanting look, which adds to her elfin appeal.

Get the Look:

Classic Romantic

Start by cleansing the hair using a curl boosting conditioner, then use a curl friendly towel, like Curl-Ease, to remove any excess moisture. Add a heat protecting spray and a good quality Mousse from root to tip. Use a nozzle blow dryer and a paddle brush to dry the hair line smooth. Then section your hair, starting with the underside, and wind random pieces around a medium barrel curling tong. 

Once you’ve curled your whole head, allow the curls to cool, then break them up gently and add a light hold control product.

Modern Romantic

For a more modern take on this look, blow dry with the paddle brush - not just the hair line, but right to the eyeline - and then, using the curling tong, gently create curls from the eye level to the tips. Then separate and gently tease to create volume from the ends rather then the roots.

Morning Romantic

A great way to get mileage out of a this look is to use the tousled curls the next day by pulling hair up into a romantic messy bun. Pull hair into a loose ponytail, then scrunch the ponytail against your head an secure with another band.  Twirl any ends that hang around the bun and secure with bobby pins. Use a rat tail comb (or a pencil) to lift the hair at the front to give it some volume. Finally, pull a few tendrils around the front and back to soften the look.
