Meet Lei British Curlies Contributor!

I have afro textured hair that is both curly, coily and very thick. The concept that I actually have curly hair is quite new to me as I did not know that afro hair was curly hair until I took the time to educate myself about natural hair.

I recently experienced some frustration as looking after thicker dense curlier hair is not always easy. Therefore I had to take a look back at some of my older pictures from when I was 6 months natural up until now just over a year natural in order to inspire me to keep going on my natural hair journey. These pictures showed me that with regards to the growth of my hair and length retention I am doing very well! However my hair is prone to dryness at the ends and therefore I am still on the lookout for a great deep conditioner that can make all of my hair feel soft from root to tip.

The longer my hair gets, the more I am noticing a distinctive curl pattern in my hair. I have a few curl patterns on my head and I made it a goal of mine to try and define my curls as much as I could so that I could clearly see what each curl looks like.

It is my aim to grow long healthy hair naturally this time around and I am working on finding the right products to keep my hair moisturised, soft, detangled, easy to manage and curly!
