British Curlies - All About Naturally Beautiful Curls

Thank God I Am Natural

by British Curlies

THANK GOD I'M NATURAL is a must-read for any black woman who has suffered hair loss or breakage caused by relaxers -- or has grown tired of spending thousands of dollars and her Saturday afternoons frying her kinky tresses into submission.
Featuring the advice of celebrity stylists for Jill Scott, Lauryn Hill, and Erykah Badu (among others), Thank God I'm Natural offers up to date information -- and a plethora of tips to help women break free from wigs, weaves, and damaging chemical processes.  While there is no shortage of information on this topic to be found on the Internet, Thank God I'm Natural is the most comprehensive natural hair guide on the market today, and the book black women need now more than ever before.

If you buy just one natural hair book this summer, make it this one. You won't want to do your hair again until you've read this lifesaving, reference book and heartfelt narrative from cover to cover.

About the Author
Harvard graduate, Chris-Tia Donaldson is inspiring legions of black women from Chicago, Illinois, to Pretoria, South Africa, to  break free of wigs, weaves and relaxers, after she was almost fired from her first law firm for wearing a wig due to her obsession with "good hair." For her best-selling book, Chris-Tia has interviewed hundreds of women -- from all walks of life -- about everything from the epidemic of hair loss in the black community to beauty standards in the workplace. Chris-Tia has been featured in USA Today,  Essence Magazine, the Chicago Tribune, the Detroit News, as well, as many other national publications. She has also appeared as a guest on ABC-7 Chicago News, Fox Chicago News and the Garrard McClendon Show for her thoughts on black women, beauty issues, self-esteem and sustainable lifestyle choices. Through her book, her blog, and her appearances, Chris-Tia continues to address the importance of caring for the "whole person", the beauty of natural hair, and access to sustainable lifestyles regardless of income.
