Your Wedding and Your Curly Hair

One of the biggest issues is the fact that humidity and heat can be a Curlie's worst nightmare.

You probably already know and have experienced a day like this.  It's a humid summer day and you are getting ready for a party or gathering of friends, you look at yourself in the mirror and your hair looks great.  You think you are ready to go.  So you hop in a taxi and travel over to your destination and begin greeting people.  You notice, however, that instead of looking you in your eyes, your friends are making eye contact with your hair.  You run off to the loo to see what the fuss is and are horrified by what you see in the mirror; your hair has completely frizzed and gone out of control.

Let's skip right to the point. If you have are planning a summer wedding, you must be prepared with products that have been created precisely to protect the beauty of your curls all day long, no matter how hot or humid the weather.  A good starting point to getting your curls ready would to be to give yourself a deep conditioning treatment the night before.  Then, on the day of the wedding, wash with a curl friendly shampoo and finish with a curl friendly conditioner.  Then, to keep your curls glistening all day long, use a medium hold gel or Goddess Glaze to keep them from frizzing in the elements.

Once you have the base completed, then you can begin styling your hair with the veil.  Because you have natural curls, it will take minimal effort to have your hair looking as gorgeous as you imagined.  Remember that most women want beautiful curls on the day of their wedding. For women who have straight hair, the curling preparation can take half the day and sometimes, in the end, it just doesn't turn out right. You are a Curlie and so you can work with the natural beauty of your  hair however you choose to wear it and have beautiful results.

 After you have placed the veil in a beautiful up-do, you can go out into your garden or better yet, grab your bouquet of flowers  and pick some small ones off that will not be missed.  Place the flowers throughout your up-do to create a totally natural and  glamorous look.  To end, you can get some extra sparkly glitter to dust over the top of your hair and eyes.  You really will be  an outstanding bride on your special day.

 Depending on the your wedding theme, there are an endless number of wonderful ideas to try.  Maybe you don't want a veil, but  instead want more of a casual wedding using a tropical theme.  Instead of an elegant up-do, you could wear your curls down.    Using a curl friendly medium gel or curl enhancer, you can create a soft look that frames your face.  Then, to complete the  look, add a bright, tropical coloured flower above one ear.
