Hi ladies

Just thought I would get a general idea on how people style their hair after washign it.

My method is as follows:

after putting leave in conditioner and splashing a bit of water in it, scrunch with curl ease towel to get out excess moisture, then put in either DB coiling jelly or CJCQ followed by Mop Top Medium Hold Gel, then scrunch in a little cold water, then scrunch again to get more moisture out. I then either let it dry naturally (only if not going out anywhere and done in the morning as my hair takes about 6 hours to dry naturally!) or diffuse with the pixie method.

Now, my curls are nice and clumped, but yesterday, as it was a lazy day, after coming out the shower, quickly ran my fingers through all of my hair with Boots Pink Gel (using it up) and then strunched, rather than just scrunching and died naturally. It seemed to do a really good job!

Do any of you run your fingers through like a comb when putting your styling products in??

My hair at the moment isnt going to well, its really really frizzy on a canopy and nothing is helping. This is made worse by the fact I have about 1 and half inches of regrowth over the whole of my scalp from when I lost my hair earlier this year - I feel hideous and times like this, just want to get those straighteners out!!

Hi
I have to wet my hair in the shower every morning. I look like I’ve been dragged through a hedge backwards when I get up & my hair seems to be beyond help if I don’t soak then style it daily. Do most of you have the same problem. It’d be great not to have to go through this rigmarole every day!!!
Just curious:)

Btw my hair has been much much better since I went CG a week ago. If only I’d known all this years ago.
Have spent a fortune on products, mind you. one of which (Joico Moisture Recovery) I’ll have to give to my daughter as it has dimethicone in it. Should’ve read the label more closely!!!

Hi Ladies,

I am new to this and am at crisis point with my hair, it is very fine, and thin but extremely curly!

Lately it seems to be in awful condition and so I am looking to bring some life back with trying a new product, currently I use highstreet brand shampoo and conditioner such as L’Oreal Elvive and I use an Aussie curl mousse.

Ideally I am looking for a product that has a loose hold (I don’t want crispy curls) but will still define them and eliminate frizz, I also want a bit of volume!

It would be great to hear from anyone who has found a product that delivers all of this or any recommendation would be great!

Thank you for your help,

Hi
I am new to this forum having just found the site 2 days ago! Also I am probably older than most of the curly girls on here as I’m almost (a young) 51 :-( . I only started leaving my hair curly 4 years ago at the age of 47, until then it was always short back & sides & straighteners were a blessing! However, I’m not exactly fond of my hair & I’m virtually at my wits end with it. It seems to be a real mixture of curl. If I was to wash it & just leave it then each individual hair would have its own agenda creating a fluffy, bushy, styless mess on top of my head. I have to wet it every day, apply curl cream & twiddle small sections to get the result in these photos. So I am really unsure what tpe of curl I have as there doesn’t seem to be a category for bushy. The hair stays in corkscrews at the front & sides but is more relaxed on the crown. The back/nape won’t do anything except frizz. I have never been able to grow it as it just expands width ways & as I’m only short it looks out of proportion. Also, by the time its dry alot of the curls have unwound & gone their own way.
Its not dyed, is probably med porosity & I use naked style curl creme or Boots essential curl creme ( which I’ve just found).
Any help would be really appreciated, especially on style & care.

Ok, I have posted on here several times about getting my hair cut - I did in August but basically its just one cut, there is no style and when it is curly, its just one length and isnt really inspiring at all, and it looks ugly!

I do have thick hair, although I lost half of my hair last year but is now growing back (grown about 3 inches so bit tufty at the moment wiht lots of flyaways!). My hair has got to below BSL, so its really long. I was thinking of getting it cut shorter for something different but I do like having the longer hair as you can do so much more with longer hair!!

Now, can any of you give me cut styles so my hair will fall nicely and fashionably when curly (even straight if I do that once every few months). Something practical which I can easily tie back too. I need to instruct a hairdresser who doesnt really have a clue about curly hair so least when I go home and sort it out, when it curls, I know I am not going to look like a poodle with a load of layers they have hacked into my hair (fine for straight but not for curly so much!)

Im in desperate need of help!!!

Thanks

hi curlies,

i am a new member with looking for a moisturizing (or at least not drying) clarifying shampoo.

(medium density, medium porosity, chemically colored dry thristy hair, i am a botticelli, corkicelli and corkscrew type of head with some nicely defined 3c’s around the hairlife and the front, some longer and looser 3b’s on my crown area and some quite strange loosest 3a-b strands at the back of my hair, due to which my hair grows super fast at the back and super slow at the front. )

i like jessicurl cleansing cream and hairveda amala cream rinse for daily washes as they really moisturize my hair strands and i love the effect. however, i sometimes need to clarify too and for that i have been using the giovanni teat tree triple treat shampoo but it is so drying i hate the feel after i’ve shampooed.
if u have any suggestions please share!

thanks a lot!
