Through another post on this site, I was in contact with Thomas Mc Millan,  I was asking him did he know of any curly friendly hairdressers in Ireland.  He mentioned that he had quite a few requests from Ireland (and Scotland) and that maybe if he got enough bookings he could come over for a day or two?

I’m very excited to think that this might happen so I said I’d start a new post to see if there are others interested.  SO, are there any others that would be interested in having Thomas coming to Ireland? I for one am a definite but obviously we need numbers.  Let me know if there are others interested,

I’m pretty new to the curly girl method and I’ve been trying to “fix” my curls for the last 6/7 months, and I bought the “Curly Girl” book about a month and a half ago.

So far I have bought a lot of products, (A LOT) and now I’m only trying to use the alcohol/silicone free ones. Right now I am using Tresemme Naturals as my main conditioner, Naked Bounce conditioner occasionally, which has a not that harmful silicone in it which I get rid of once a week with Leo Bancroft sulphate free shampoo. I use Umberto Giannini curl friends mousse as well.

So far it’s going ok but I would really like a good, cheap, co washing conditioner. Tresseme is ok but for me it’s better just as a normal conditioner.

I’ve bought Garnier fructis Sleek and shine but it wasn’t that good, (I might try it again though) and I also got Morrisons fruits but I’ve just realised they have a paraben in them and I’m not sure how harmful it will be so I haven’t tried it yet. I really want to try them though, are they any good and how harmful are they?!

Anyway, I’ve been looking everywhere and I can’t find a cheap silcone free conditioner which is also paraben free. I heard about the Vo5 moisture milks and they seem perfect, I wish they still sold them. (And I’m not going to get one for £7 on amazon!)

I was wondering if there is anything else I could get? And what is good? I was also wondering what they sell in a shop called “Savers”. Apparently they sell things that they don’t sell in shops like Boots or Superdrug anymore. Is there any good ones in there? Because I don’t really live near one :(

P.S. Sorry if this is a bit random, I’m new And by the way, my curls are 3a at the back and right at the front, 3c around my ears, and 3b everywhere else.

I am quite keen to try the Aveda Be Curly lotion and have noticed a cone in the ingredients. Do you think it will come out with loo poo? Thanks xxx
