I used this a few years ago, really liked the condition and sculpt and the nourish and shine. Have been using the nourish and shine at night and the C&S as a defrizzer under mop curl cream, or gel.

The N&S smells amazing and adds a load of shine, will last for ever.

The CandS is very runny but feels very smoothing and really cuts down my frizz.

I am not the best at reviews sorry!

I bought them at gidore but hate the postal charge, wish they were available in the emporium. Not sure where else the CandS is available.

Hi all,

I’m very new to this and I am looking for some recommendations. I think I am more of a low poo rather than no poo washer so I would love someone to point me in the right direction for:

shampoo
conditioner
deep treatments - protein treatment and deep conditioner
mousse, heat protector spray (do I need this?), maybe an oil / serum (argan oil?)

I’m a little confused about the protein as everyone I have seen (today was an organix) says for relaxing / straightening but I didn’t think that was what we wanted? TBH I’m not against my hair being relaxed so long as it doesn’t ruin my hair.

I don’t mind the cost really as my products always seem to last ages and it’s worth the investment if they do the job.

I’ve put a couple of pics of my hair on in case that helps

HI,
I just wrote a long review on the mira curl and it disappeared somewhere. Sorry if you get double copies of the review.
Anyway i ordered :
- MIra curl detangler leave in conditioner.
-Super butter creme - 8oz
- Mira curl curling Jelly - 16oz

DAY 1
I recieved the products on wednesday evening and decided not to use them until saturday when i have enough time. I was so excited thursday morning and could not wait so i decided to try a wash and go . I had been wearing KCCC on my hair the whole week so i decided to do just a quick shampooing with the KC come clean shampoo. ( I wasnt sure whether this was enough to remove all the product build up i had accumilated over the week, but as it turns out, it worked ok.). I then put the mira curl leave in on my damp hair. ( its written, to be used on wet hair) but i did not have time for that. My reaction was that the conditioner did not do anything WOW! , it felt like when i use the knot today. I proceeded to rub on the butter creme and comb my TWA and off to work . Seriously this was one of the best hair days i have had. My hair dryed and it mainted the softness the whole day. I took some pics but i do not know how to load them I washed my hair at 6am and when i went to bed at 10pm my hair was still moist, shiny and soft.

DAY 2
I came home from work and decided to try the jelly. This time i did the bicarbonate wash as i wanted my hair to be clean from all products . I then put the Mira curl leave in on wet hair . WOW! My hair really became very soft compared to when i used it on damp hair. (so it works best on wet hair) I then sectioned my hair into 14 twists ( my hair is still very short) and let the conditioner NEARLY dry on my hair. Section by section i applied the Jelly and made sure that every strand was covered from the root. My curls look so great!! I di not have problem with the whitish stuff i sometimes get from KCCC.

PROS
Hair dried very quickly (compared to KCCC). This is because i applied it to nearly dry hair.
shrinkage was minimal. Because again my hair was nearly dry so it had done all the shrinking.
Curl pattern very pronounced and dont dry hard.
The products have a very ,very mild scent. I like that.

CONS
It took a longer time to apply product as i had to section my hair.
I wish the Jelly was in a jar and not a pump bottle.

If you have 4a,4b,4c hair , i think this is a product to try. I dont know how it works with the typ 3:s. I dont know how this is going to behave tomorrow as i did not by any spritz to revive day two hair. I am just going to use water then i will keep you guys posted.

Got this as a Christmas present, and love it! It has gel packs in, and you heat in the microwave (for about 90-100 seconds, depending on the wattage), and it gently heats your hair. I left it on for 30 minutes while doing a PT, and it was still quite warm when I removed it! Really good for aiding your PT/DT to absorb.

It is a bit heavy, but great not to be attached to a hairdryer while heating your treatment! The gel packs are removeable, so you can wash the toweling cover when needed.

You can get these on Amazon for around £19.

Hey guys,

I’m sure many of you have heard of the Shea Moisture hair product line?

After watching countless positive reviews of natural curlies of ALL hair types raving of its benefits, I just had to get my hands on some!

I was worried I’d find it hard to track some down, since most of the YouTube reviews were posted by American curlies :( However, I was thrilled after I stumbled across a curly site that exclusively sells products aimed at ‘Curly, Kinky, Mixed Race Hair.’

So, I purchased the Coconut and Hibiscus Curl Enhancing Hair Smoothie, and Conditioning Curl and Style Hair Milk from;

http://www.gidore.co.uk

I have to say I am usually verrrry skeptical of products I put into my hair, but was impressed by the natural contents of the products;

Sulphate Free
Silicone Free
Paraben Free
Formaldehyde Free

(as well as the fact that with every purchase, a donation is made to disadvantaged women. Nice!)

Expensive? Yes.

But I’d say worth every penny!

I cleansed my hair with Curls Cleansing Creme, and conditioned with Curl Junkie.

I followed up by melting some Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, and distributed lightly throughout my hair.

Then, I smoothed a good amount of the smoothie throughout my curls, then used some milk.

The smoothie was very thick, and I found it held the curl, reduced frizz immensely, and when dry, did not feel crunchy, or look limp.

The milk is like a typical conditioner, it moisturised well, and smelt delicious!

My curls were left shiny, and bouncy with little shrinkage. They were not greasy, and i had very little frizz! If your hair loves coconut, definitely try this out!

I’m going to try the Shea shampoo and conditioner, and see how it compares!

Tangle Teezer - compact styler

OMG, my new love!! I have been looking forward to ditching my denman brush, it’s been ripping out my hair lately.
I mean I saw the reviews on this teezer but kept thinking “really, what can it do that’s so special? It’s just a hair brush”.
I now wish I had ordered it a long time ago! It is sold here at the emporium too under the tools section, it’s a great investment if you are still looking for an easy detangling session with almost no hair loss!!

OMG! I am so going to order this for my little sister, she will love it. I have the compact size which I got from Amazon, very nice size, it just glides through my hair, unbelievable. The denman always gets “stuck” somewhere and I have to be very careful not to worsen the tangle.

Oh sweet Jesus, I recommend this to anyone and everyone!!! I also tried it on freshly shampooed hair before conditioning it and it worked guys!!

Ok, so I am VERY VERY impressed. I was gonna review this moisturizer yesterday but i thought that the results were a fluke (as I has just washed and DT’d and therefore had very soft defined hair already) so Day 2; this moisturizer wins in terms of moisturizing properties and softness, it’s great. Last night i used on top of a leave in (Whipped creme ends hydration) today i spritzed with water and just added a little more buttercream. I didnt have to seal my ends last night or today this is moisturizing enough (with just a leave in under). On MY hair it is also extremely good for curl definition, i can’t quite believe it but i get exactly the same curl definition as when I use Komaza Califia Pudding on damp hair i’m amazed the only difference is it doesn’t have as much hold but wow wasn’t expecting these results.

As a comparision to Curl Reviver - which is an extremely good moisturizer - i’d say both are as thick as each other although the Curl Reviver by Curl Harmony may be slightly thicker…both have ‘interesting’ smells the Curl Reviver smells like…baby powder perhaps??? and the CP buttercreme smells exactly like marzipan to me. Although none of the smells linger.

On first impressions the CP buttercream wins slightly but only because of;

1. PRICE CP Buttercream is £10.50 for 250mls and the CH Curl Reviver £12.95 is for 225ml
2. on MY hair I get better curl definition with the CP Buttercream

This is only my first impressions however so I will review again end of Week 1, Week 2 or 4 I will also try on completely dry hair but for the meantime WOW
