I was in Waitrose the other night when I realised I was out of conditioner. Pantene was almost £5 a bottle (!) and I was pretty upset. There was nowhere else for me to pick up some on the way home as it was so late.

Just as I was about to leave in despair, my eye was caught by a Buy One, Get One Free sign (I don’t think it actually said that, being Waitrose). TRESemmé was £3.20. I bought the luxurious moisture conditioner and the deep cleansing shampoo. I was a little doubtful that it would work, but something is better than nothing.

My hair was quite tangled and I was worried there wouldn’t be enough slip in the conditioner to get the comb through. Well, I couldn’t have been proved more wrong! It was easier to comb than Pantene has ever been. once I got the big knots out the comb just glided through. Although I’m not overly happy with the hydration after a couple of days, I am very impressed with the conditioner as a detangler, and am considering using it just for that purpose and then using another for hydration. Especially considering it’s much lower in price than my beloved Pantene.

I notice some of you use TRESemmé, specifically the Naturals range. I guess I can afford to experiment, but I wondered if any of you had any recommendations or stories for me.

The old fashioned Trevor Sorbie Curl Cream was the only product I found that suited my hair, I stocked up on it and have just ran out!! Yes I bought a lot of it!

I have recently tried their replacement product ‘original curl cream’ but I have found its nothing like the old product. Does anyone else think this?

I’m now back to having a frizzy mop as cannot find a product that suits my fine, frizzy, wavy hair. My hair also breaks easy and any sign of moisture in the air sends it into an even bigger frizz. I have spent a fortune on trying to find a replacement product!
I have tried the CG method but it doesn’t suit my hair.

Any advices please? Would be really appreciated.

Hi there, it is a long time since I’ve posted, I have just been plodding along with my sainsburys apple conditioner and frizz ease mousse with a side order of mini naked low poo when needed. However the low poo has run out, the co-wash isn’t doing as well as it did so I need a little help please.

I very very rarely go to any high street or shopping centre. I can’t afford to spend much so most online stuff is out of my price range which leaves me with whatever the supermarkets have to offer, the cheaper the better :D

I have no idea if my hair needs protein/moisture and don’t have time for anything more than a quick co-wash every day. I can’t do anything with my mop if I don’t wash it so it gets done every day, on the occasion I miss a day, the following it is so tangly it takes ages to comb through the condish in the bath.

What current products are out there in the supermarkets? I can get to Tesco, S’burys and Asda relatively easily, Morrisons is a bit further away but doable for bargains. I have an energetic toddler and reading labels to check the ingredients when I’m out is impossible so I need to know what I’m looking for before I go.

I really needed to use a Low Poo on my hair, but couldn’t find what I was looking for so instead went with these two Timotei products, which were at 2 for £5 at Boots. Though I’ve seen the brand mentioned on these forums, I haven’t seen anyone mention these specifically.
They both say “0% Parabens, Silicones, Colourants, Sulphates”, so I thought it’d be safe (I’m relatively new to CG so things like alcohol and protein aren’t the main issues I think about).
They’re both for “Health & Nourishment for Dry or damaged hair” with Brazil Nut Oil.
Has anyone else tried these, or are they new?

My hair really needed the shampoo + I have no other experience so it’s a bit hard for me to review it, though I thought it worked fine. I don’t think I rinsed out the conditioner well after that, though.

Since I’m still changing my routine and getting different results every time I wash my hair, I honestly can’t say whether these are specifically good or bad, but I hope they might come to use to other curlies

Morrisons, Boots, Wilkinson, Savers. Nowhere has it, so I’ve ordered some from echemist on the web. It looks like it’s going to come in a yellow bottle though if the picture on the site is to be believed. I’m worried now it won’t be the same product that I really got on with…
