How exciting! Big, big congratulations.

Signature

Curly end of wavy. I get chunky ringlets and some elongated S shapes.  Fairly dense, medium texture, medium porosity.

Rotation is key for me.  Get on well with most Curl Junkie products especially CQ, CIAB, PP for stylers, Hard hold gel on top; usually BRHG.  Also CJ protein treatments.
Other stuff B&A Gel, EO conditioners, GFRS, Hairveda Sitrinnillah, Joico K-Pak reconstruct, Afroveda TT and CL butters.

Thanks ladies!!

I’m still trying to get to grips with the KCCC. I really don’t need to use a lot of it to make my hair look nice, which makes a change as I normally have to use almost all of the product (whichever it may be!). Uploaded is a photo of my hair yesterday (2 day hair). It’s grown a bit, though is uneven still, particularly from the side/back. I think the KCCC coupled with the growth weighs my hair down quite a lot, so it has less of the afro look. It makes me wonder whether I’d prefer my hair shorter? Knowing me, if I had it cut short I’d immediately want it long again! lol I’ll have to think about that one. But at least I’ve finally found a replacement hair product. I need to have a go with styling now too. When my hair was in braids, I was sooooooooooo low maintenance about it - hair down or pony tail. Easy. I like the look of the goddess braid seen here on Ms Tracee Ellis Ross: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_lWc15qI7k0w/TSMPplsunyI/AAAAAAAAJIA/2-qWtgiH9Ec/s640/tumblr_legxwes5YE1qg0w1vo1_400.jpg Last time I attempted something like this it was a complete joke! Better get practising!!

Loving my hair today! Achieved with some cheap shampoo and Hairveda Whipped Ends. Quick half blowdry and done! It seems to have grown a bit, so I think I’m satisfied not to find a stylist for the time being. I mustn’t cut my own hair though.

xxtinker your hair is great - I would so much love your volume and the way your hair sits.  Very envious!

Love the curls.. Your shape looks great. Why do you want it cut? Simply for a different shape?

Thanks Ketchup!

It just needed a trim in general, get rid of the ends… plus, last year I hacked a load off, and ruined the shape. It’s just got back to normal now I think, though I cut some off this morning! I’m scissor happy! I’ve been wearing it more ‘natural’ lately. Normally I tried so hard to get ‘definition’. I gave it a quick wash this morning and tried to put it in a high pony tail, and it just wasn’t working because of straggly ends. So I tried fluffing up the ends to tie it back, and the pony looked worse and worse, but my hair looked great! (Well, I thought anyway!) Today, I’ve ended up with big, proud hair! It also gives me options; if I want a defined look I use KCCC, otherwise Hairveda does the job.
