Hi there

Has anyone used any of the hair products from Sheabutter Cottage? If you have, I’d really like to know how you got on!

Cheers!

Hi curltastic I have used the rosemary conditioner.  It smells absolutely divine.  For my fine hair I had to be careful with the amount I used as it is rich (well I found it to be but that could be my hair type!) It is a great website and they do a lot of good in Ghana also so its a double bonus when you buy something.

CHM, Do you find that the leave-in defines your curls when use on wet hair as a styler?
Does it have some hold?

Thanks

I love that place. smile  I’ve only bought shea butter and argan oil from there so far, but it all seems top quality stuff, and a really ethical business too.

i agree with pelicano, very ethical and friendly service. i bought Africa black soap liquid and bar and i used them on my hair but they made it to squeaky clean but i love them on the face and body although it smells liquorice to me and you have to get used to that.i also bought Shea butter lovely although i drooped it down the back of cupboard and cant get it back :-( i bought a new one from a local shop as i cant live with out sb and couldn’t wait for the order. But i will buy a massive load form shea butter cottage when it starts to run out. They have lts of samples to which i would love to try.

I tought your were spoken about the ROSEMARY LEAVE-IN CONDITIONER as it’s the only conditioner I’ve seen on their website…

The one I bought wasn’t in the little pot like the one on the website - it is in a pump bottle (it was a while ago I bought it) I just went and looked at mine and it is the same but I only used it as a rinse out.  I hardly ever leave co in my hair (unless I am doing a DT then I’ll leave it in for a little while only).

So if I understand correctly, your rosemary conditioner is exactly the same as the one marketed as a leave-in?

yes it says leave in on it just a different packaging.  Maybe I should try it though as a leave in and see.

Thank you all for your kind words wink

CHM, I can confirm that I just changed the packaging for the leave-in conditioner from the lotion pump to the jar - same ingredients and there is a discount to go with it smile
I found that it could sometimes be difficult to get all the contents out of the lotion pump especially in the colder months.
The current batch was freshly made yesterday.

I thought that you had just changed the packaging - it has been a while since I got mine.  After the above discussion earlier I just went and did my hair and put some in!

Just to ressurect this thread, I’m really loving the Shea liquid shampoo.  It’s incredibly rich and mild and my hair is noticeably better conditioned as a result.

Hi pelicano,
Does it smell of cocoa butter at all? I want to try it but I loathe the smell of cocoa butter in my hair.

No, no cocoa butter.  It’s not a great smell, to be honest, but very slight - a sort of nutty smell, I guess.
