Hi
It’s all quite confusing, isn’t it?  And when there are so many (expensive) choices, it’s almost impossible to decide where to start.  When I began this last year I tried the Boots pink cream and it really weighed my hair down and didn’t suit me at all.  My next attempt was an aloe vera gel, which was a bit better, but still didn’t give me the look I wanted.  Finally, I took the bit between my teeth and ordered CIAB which I loved, but really needed a little of the aloe vera gel on top.
Right now, I’m trying the fuzzy duck anti frizz gel with gel-le-c on top and so far, love the results.  I hate my hair looking weighed down and greasy looking and these are light but give me definition and hold.  I also like a bit of volume and mess up from the scalp with my fingers after my curls have dried.
Good luck, if you find anything that works for you be sure and let the rest of us know!  (I’ve heard good things about plain KY jelly for definition along with the Boots pink, which you’ve said you love, so that might be worth a try).

Signature

2c with some 3a (I think), highly porous, fine to medium texture, medium volume, medium porosity with some high porosity at front

Trying Fuzzy Duck, Curls and CHS at the moment. Tried and liked Curls in a Bottle, tried and didn’t like Curl Junkie leave in con or hair styling water.
