Hi, I have only used a face wash of theirs a moisturizing one it was good didn’t find it drying or anything but now I am trying different exfoliating ones from different brands,i haven’t tried this type of one in their range yet,I often use their baby wipes but only cos they don’t have any nasties in there and I use them for everything.

I used to use various of their products - soap, shampoo etc - and they were quite nice and ‘simple’ (unperfumed, mild etc).  Unfortunately I think the product line lost its way a bit when they introduced some more complicated products under the same name bracket.

For facial care I like Garnier Fresh Essentials.  The range is good value, simple, gentle and has natural extracts in it:

http://www.garnier.co.uk/_en/_gb/our_products/products_SKINCARE.aspx?tpcode=OUR_PRODUCTS^PRD_SKINCARE^CLEAN_FRESH^CLEAN_FRESH_DISCOVER&prdcode=P11001

They do a similar range for dry skin, which is pink instead of green.  In supermarkets and chemists.

I cant do w/o my Simple Cleansing Cloths - they’re HG for me!

I love the original Simple cleansing cloths which is the variety i choose to use most regularly, but i also dig their exfoliating cleansing cloths (REALLY effective for such a simple idea), their brightening cleansing cloths (in the yellow packet) and their anti-ageing cleansing cloths (in the white packet - cant remember the exact name of these).

They’re ALL wonderful!  My skin has improved HUGELY since i started using these.

I have combo-oily skin which is reactive and very clog & acne prone (even at almost 30!).  I used to use Oxy, Clean&Clear; etc type of skin products to try to clear up my skin but they used to strip the hell out of it and the spots/blocked pores kept coming due to my skin being inbalanced by the too-strong ingredients (even the sensitive varieties of Oxy, C&C etc cleansing cloths/cleansers/moisturisers etc would burn and upset my skin, doing absolutely nothing to cure my breakouts and drying me out in the process).

For the past year or so iv taken a more natural, gentle approach to my skincare and the improvement has been HUGE!  I’ve never had such happy, un-reactive skin as i have now and i credit this to using less-harsh products, such as Simple.

I’ve also tried Simple eyecream and moisturisers (again the regular, brightening and age defy ones) and they were all nice little products.
I prefer to use my NaturesNaturalBeauty.com ‘Emu Oil Moisturiser’ and ‘Emu Oil Eyecream’ now (UhhMAZING HG results with these natural beauties!).  xx

Hi DD, ive come across the Garnier line, never thought of giving them a go, have you noticed any benefits to your skin?

Satisfactory good products that are unharsh for skin aswell as hair makes a girl happy grin

Hey Snowflakes!

Believe me i know what you mean about Clean&Clear; the cleansing lotion it is so so terrible! it would stink my face and strip! it would take the dirt out too i think thats why i kept going back to it, ohh
but not anymore!

Im just about converting to naturally good products myself, doesnt it feel good when your using good wealthy products in your pampering routine all the time!

Simple products are SOOO WORTH THE PRICE!
i have an oily T-Zone area too and by using this simple range i’ve noticed its helped reduce the problem.

Ive had a look at that site about Emu oils wow! does the moisturiser help with painful joints and arthritis too? I have arthritis hopefully temporary arthritis! i have it in my right foot and it causes me alot of pain when i walk so im always having to elevate my foot and to get the swelling down too downer

Simple skincare is good for everyone Yipeeeee!!!

Hey CurlyLocks… Honestly the Emu Oil Moisturiser, Eyecream, Bath Oil, Pure Oil & Endurance Oil are all great products ... moisturiser, pure oil & eyecream are HG! - i cant go without them now!  They’ve made a huge difference to my skin (and my fiances!).

Im so sorry about your arthritis. The person who could offer you the most advice about Arthritis and the Emu Oil products is Liz at NaturesNaturalBEauty.com; she helped me when i 1st started using her products and recently when i added a few more to my order.  I’ll PM you her email tomorrow, or you can find it on the NaturesNaturalBeauty website.

As far as i know the pure oil helps with arthritis the most, but the moisturiser may still help somewhat seeing as it contains lots of emu oil.  The endurance massage oil could be helpful id imagine, as its meant to ease pains after sports etc.  I’ve tried all of these 3 products.  I still use the pure emu oil every day, over my anti-ageing serums to help push the anti-ageing actives & nutrients deeper into my skin taking with it heaps of moisture but without causing breakouts.  I love it!  Its really helped with my undereye wrinkles, used over serum and under cream and sometimes on its own (still works a treat at softening fine lines and moisturising undereyes).  I get the scentless emu oil, but they also do a few different fragranced types with added essential oils.

LOL sorry for the long post - im a skincare-a-holic!

Curlilocks, I find the Garnier skincare range to be mild, natural and pleasantly naturally scented.  It doesn’t irritate my very sensitive skin, which normally needs hypoallergenic products, doesn’t irritate my very sensitive nose with scent, and is really nice to use.

It seems to have lots of very natural ingredients and plant extracts and is very good value IMO since it’s such a nice product for a very ordinary price.  I’ve used it for years.

I hated the Simple skincare - made my cheeks red, sore and itchy.

Clean&Clear; I liked, but I am the only person I know who did. I did water it down though.

Tried Clearasil which worked for a month, stopped working, but if I didn’t use it for a while then used it it cleared up any problems.

Worst my skin looked was on the OXY range when I was 13 - never again!

Also tried the Lush babyface, which is great for makeup removal and times when face is really dry, but not everyday. Possibly good for use before weekly exfoliating - may have to try this.

I liked the Boots Tea Tree range for years, still use their night treatment although not a fan of any of the other stuff anymore.

Currently I use:
> Dr Organics pomegranate soap as a cleanser - quite drying but great for my skin!
> normal moisuriser - Garnier one with rosewater
> SPF moisuriser - Boots Vit E lotion
> Exfoliator - the No7 radiance one
> Foundation - Nivea Q10 Anti-aging tinted moisuriser (better consistancy and paler than usual tinter moisuriser - don’t know about anti aging effect as I’m only 16!), I top with No7 transuscent loose powder.
> Concealor - Benefit it-stick
(all makeup blended with brushes cleaned twice a week with shampoo).

I’m very impressed you clean your brushes twice a week.  Mine are lucky if I clean them twice a year.  <shamefaced>

Though tbh its been nearly 3 weeks since they last got washed…just haven’t had time since. But I at least MEAN to wash them that often, and I was doing it during the summer.
