Which is your favourite DT?

Which DONT you like?

I’ma 2a/b looking for a Deep Condish suitable for us type 2s.

I was looking at: CJ Deep Fix, CJ Curl Rehab, JC Too Shea, JC WDT, DB Pumpkin Seed Co, CP Avocado..

What’s the difference between CJ Deep Fix and CJ Curl Rehab?

Finding a DT that is moisturising & hydrating enough for quite dry hair but NOT too heavy or greasy for type 2a/bs is fairly difficult.

Any DT recs would be HUGELY appreciated xx

I have just used the CP Shea Butter Hair Mask for the first time.  I am type 2 or possibly a bit of 3a (not sure) and I didn’t find it greasy or overpowering at all.  I left it on for over an hour even though it says 15-30 mins and my hair was not weighed down.  It felt quite nice afterwards.

However, I had just used the CP protein treatment spray so I can’t yet report on what it’s like using it standalone rather than in succession with that.  Good luck finding something that suits you!  smile

<added next day> But I’m not sure the Shea Butter really moisturised my hair because it dried quite frizzy and doesn’t feel that soft the next day.

hea
That’s good to know.  I was looking at Too Shea so good to know your feedback before i bought it.  I think i have quite similar hair to yours by the looks of it (altho yours is slightly curlier than mine) and i do tend to get pretty dry, so i need a very moisturising condish, but one that isnt reeeeeally heavy & greasy due to it weighing down my curls/waves.  Its a tough balance for any co lol.  So it sounds like Too Shea might not be quite moisturising enough then.

Good luck with your PT - would love to hear what you think of it after a few days/weeks.

Thanks.  CP Avocado is on my wishlist so good to hear you like it.

I decided on CJ Curl Rehab in the end - i guess mainly seduced by it’s Strawberry Icecream scent! - LOL normally i wouldnt spend £20 on a DT/Co, and doubt i can afford it as my main DT, but i fancied a treat and wanted to find out if the more expensive condish and styling products really are worth the extra money.  We shall see!  If i love CR i’ll get it again but alternate it with a cheaper condish.

Could you recommend any medium-to-rich conditioners and/or light-to-med Deep Conditioners that are a bit cheaper than CJ?  I was hoping for a Co that cost £12 or less (preferably under £10!).  Do you know of any nice ones MizzDee? .. or anyone?!

I’m currently using (and liking) Boots Ingredients Coconut & Almond Intensive Mask as my regular rinse-out AND DT - I like the weight of it and my hair looks great 1st day, but dry the 2nd day.  I guess there’s better out there?

What’s everyone’s fav co’s and DTs?  smile  xx

mine are :
Blended Beauty herbal reconditioner- I find this moisturises really well

Curl Junkie deep fix - I find this makes me hair feel stronger and thicker

curl Junkie rehab - I find it softens and enhances my curls

and have recently tried the Darcy’s botanicals mask, I don’t know what to say about this one just yet.

As for regular conditioners it has to be Darcy’s botanicals pumpkin seed, I just love everything about it!
the Curl Junkie daily conditioner isn’t bad either but Darcy’s wins it for me

natural for 29 years.

current products :  Blended beauty shampoo and conditioner, Curl Milkshake, Blended Cutie light down and out and my new favourite Curl Junkie Coffee-coco creme

Don’t follow any guide or Rules, just do what works for me. cool hmm

Have you tried any of the Aubrey Organic conditioners?, they have a good range and some you could probably use as a deep condish.  I have the GPB Protein condish, which i sometimes use as a deep condish.  The Honeysuckle rose is popular with alot of curlies too.
