I used this today for the first time, and I have to say I was less then impressed :(

Its so thin - my old t-shirt I used for plopping was thicker, and I just don’t see how it can absorb much. When I laid it down to plop it was immediately soaked through, the bed I laid it out on was wet underneath from the few moments it took for me to tie it up! I did scrunch out some water with one end of the towel before plopping.

:S

It doesn’t look like much, which I don’t mind if it works. My hair was frizzier than normal today- but this could be from the new product (KCKT) I tired rather than the towel.

I plopped for about 20 mins and then let my hair air dry - which took four + hours! So it hasn’t helped with cutting down drying time either.

Everyone has such great things to say about this, Im willing to keep on trying it out. But I have to admit Im slightly confused.

I use mine to scrunch out water - it does absorb a lot of water out of your hair. (I don’t plop now)  If it is fairly wet after scrunching out water I’d use something else to plop with (like t-shirt) or the other way round - use the t-shirt to scrunch and then plop with the curlease and it will soak out some more water.

Like chm - I know longer plop (hair now shorter) but I do use it to scrunch out moisture before blowdrying. I apply my leave-in/stylers to dripping wet hair so I need to get some of the moisture out before blowdrying. The towel does remove a heck of a lot of water tho’ - I just scrunch gently - moving to a dry bit of the towel before each ‘scrunch’.

i would love to try this method but my house would look like a flood plain if it did from the sheer amount of water my hair holds! would take about 48 hours to dry!!

Im sure those with high porosity might be able to try this though.  I use my curlease towel to scrunch like the others, i havent plopped for about 2 months now and it works great!
