Oooo i tried the Aussie moisture shampoo a couple days ago, i thought it was lovely, the smell is a bit overwhelming at first but i love that bubblegum scent anyway. tongue laugh

I also used boots ingredients intensive honey and jojoba hair mask, the texture is so strange and gloopy but i absolutely loved it and my hair feels gorgeous now ... i def recommend it! It beats all the other intensive hair treatments ive tried and at a half the cost too!

Loving the list of cg items, ive brought quite a few so far and some are so cheap its amazing. Thanks!

Hi girls smile

Just came back from Boots and got some lovely stuff tongue rolleye
So excited - can’t wait to try them!

I got:
- pink curl cream
- L’Oreal Invisi’Gel
- Boots Botanics Leave-In Conditioner - has anyone try it? I’m a bit new to CG so not 100% sure but I think it’s CG friendly
- Boots Honey and Jojoba Mask - smells beautifully <3

Also got some Botanics face cleansers - got very dry skin recently - maybe because of sulphates too?

And on my way back popped into Holland&Barretts; - fell in love with Dr Organics!!!! Will be getting more stuff soon LOL  grin
I got some nettle tea - heard it’s good for hair and skin and makes your hair grow faster too!

Hi girls,
Today I went shopping after work and im so frustrated as just about every product I looked at contained SLS or dimethicone aarrgh! I looked for some of the recommended ones on here but many of them just arent stocked in the shops where I live :( I have been wondering about the OS conditioner tea tree and mint and if it would benefit my scalp. I noticed a few people on here use it so I would be interested to here from you what you think of it?
Can someone please tell me what the boots purple gel is as they dont have it in my local boots and i cant see it online either downer I even went to Asda and they had a really small range of products and I couldnt even get any glycerine in the baking section! Ive sent my other half to Tesco to try there lol!
The boots brand of anti dandruff shampoo doesnt contain and SLS or any cones but I`am not familiar with some of the stuff it does have in it either.

At least the OS tea tree isn’t too expensive if you didn’t like it.  It’s quite tingly (I haven’t used it but someone said that about it)  Tea tree may help your scalp tho.  If you get the OS and its ok you could even get some tea tree oil and maybe put a couple of drops in a jug of water and use as a final rinse or if you’re not co washing that day just as a rinse.  (If you find the tea tree ok).

Yeah thats the good thing about giving it a go I guess. If it doesnt suit im sure someone else in my family will use it. My scalp seems to respond to lavender but I dont know about tea tree yet. I think its worth a go I saw some for £1 wish I had bought it now lol!

Hi tginger

I haven’t tried the OS Tea Tree and Mint but I’ve heard it is quite strong and that it makes some scalps tingle! This is one of the reasons why I have avoided it (I remember using the Tea Tree shower gel at someone’s house once and my skin did not like! I can recommend the FiN conditioner - especially the hemp and meadowfoam. It smells pleasant, is quite thin so distributes well and gives me great slip for great detangling. I find it quite mild. They also do a tea tree conditioner. They are a bit more expensive than the OS but last a while as the bottle is quite large. Here is the link to the stockists page - check out and see if there is a stockist near you:

http://www.faithinnature.co.uk/storelocator.php

If you cannot get it locally - you can order from their site.

Re the boots purple gel - I have used this and it is a good hard hold basic gel. You should find it next to the pink boots curl creme - it is their boots essentials range - under 90p.

IMHO I wouldn’t use an anti-dandruff shampoo either - do you know for sure you have dandruff? The active ingredients they contain can, ironically, make matters worse. Check this article out:

HTH grin

PS - If you would like to try a sample of the hemp and meadowfoam - I will gladly send you a sample from my bottle - PM me if interested grin

Thank you so much CrystalTips I checked out the link and its stores and there is a store where I live that stocks all the products and I had forgotten it existed as it is hidden away from the main high street. Yay this is good news! I will be in there as soon as I can lol!  The boots essential range I couldnt see in our little boots but I will ask them when i next go in. Im not really sure if I have dandruff coz I only seem to get flakes from products when it builds up in my hair but I have the other symptoms of the itchy head and it gets sore and definitely feels greasy rather than dry. I will find out why eventually lol!

That’s fab tginger! I’m sure you’ll find something that works for you eventually, - if you have a Neil’s Yard Remedies in a town near by it would be worth popping in and having a chat. they sell herbs by the 100g - and they are very knowledgeable about lotions and potions (not just their own stock) - including home made stuff - I believe they even have info on making your own stuff. Independent health stores are also great to chat to. Let us know how you get on grin

thats really helpful thanks. I think the shop we have here has some advisers on products and problems so im gonna try to ask them aswell. I took a look at my scalp before and its totally flake free just greasy. Its so crazy that its like that when the rest of my hair is so dry beyond the roots. Sometimes I think it would be easier to just shave it off and buy a wig LOL! smile
