CURL JUNKIE BEAUTICURLS LEAVE-IN CONDITIONER

This has to be my favourite CJ product.

Pros

- Pretty light, goes into the hair easily and is absorbed nicely – almost has a milk like consistency

- Lovely sweet smell that is pretty subtle

- Eliminates any wet frizz (one of only 3 products I have found that do this so this alone makes it one of my top rated conditioners!)

- Gives my hair body and volume whenever I have used it

- Incredibly moisturizing without being at all heavy

- One of the few (if not only) CJ products to not include glycerin and aloe

- Leaves hair very shiny and soft

Cons

- I just wish it came in a bigger bottle!

One to always have on hand – it’s one of my favourite leave-ins (along with KCKT). I get amazingly well defined, soft, bouncy curls and barely any frizz. What more can a Curly Girl ask for?

For me, it was KCKT, Beauticurls and Spiral Solutions Caitlin’s conditioner.

Yes, it sounds really good.

Right now I’m using the Charles Worthington leave in - just experimenting with Boots products first. Looks like the products in the Emporium may definitely be worth the extra pennies though.

Could you possibly tell me if the Beauticurls leave in lengthens curls ?  I’m trying to avoid that as it might pull my curl out. I’m torn between trying the Beuaticulrs or the DB Peach Kernel Milk (as I can try that out on wet or dry hair).

Thanks !

It didn’t lengthen mine out smile KCKT is the one that definitely lengthens curls though!

cupcake, I’m torn between trying the Beuaticulrs or the DB Pumkin Seed smile .. i know DB Pumkin Seed is a rinse out condish, but many ppl use it as a leave in too… all the curlies, who have tried this product, praised it alot.. hmmm
wut shall i do Kat? lol u’ve used both.. which to try first..
do u usually use a leave in then a curl cream and after that a gel ? for me , rise out condish, then either a leave in or a cream (coz both seems too much)

I either use a leave-in or a cream, rarely both. I tend to always use FSG and BRHG.

Umm, does your hair like oils? I would say the Pumpkin has more oils than Beauticurls. I guess go for whichever one you are looking for, Beauticurls for a leave-in, or DB if you want a general rinse out conditioner. smile

Hi Kat180,
Was wondering if you could give me some pearls of wisdom…....

I remember you said KCKT elongated curl .... which is a shame cos there are such good reviews about it. I keep getting wet frizz (which it looks like you get too) then a surface layer of frizz once the hair is dry and am trying to find a way to get rid of it without pulling out the curl. Dya reckon Beauticurls would help with that ? Or do you think KCKT is worth a stab. I’d be soooo grateful for some help -the frizz is driving me nuts.  grrr

So glad it’s not just me Amal ! Don’t know about you but anything I put on top once it’s dry either only works for about 60 seconds before the frizz comes back or just makes it all weighed down and icky.

Tried CCCC lite and CIAB today and its better. The frizz has crept up on me over the last few hours though. Trying the regular one tomorrow….just know it’ll be too heavy . The CCCC didn’t work for you did it ?

Both the Beauticurls leave-in and KCKT got rid of any wet frizz when I applied them so either one would be good for you to try. KCKT makes my hair curl differently, but very very nicely - I get more uniform ringlets that are longer.

I use BRHG to help with keeping dry frizz under control -its the only gel that really works for me so far. Im also staying away from anything with aloe in as it just makes my hair turn to frizz throughout the day - perhaps you have a similar problem there to.

HTH!

Cupcake,

Just some advice for when you use the CJCCC.  As it is a rich creme, most people tend to apply it in small amounts (pea size) and then supersoak as this enables you to make it more watery, if this makes sense, otherwise it might weigh your hair down.  Hope this helps xx

cupcake.. u describing my hair :( .. however, i have some strands that will NEVER be weighed down.. they FFFFrustrating..

CCCC is really moisturising.. like curliesue suggested, pea size is really enough !
for me, its perfect moisturiser but doesn’t do anything with frizz issue. I tried Garnier Endurance gel on top.. i tried boots purple gel.. Nither of them helped.. mu frizzy canopy and outer layer are so stubborn..

i’ve just taken a shower, i applied boots pink cream.. and will let my hair drop dry (my hair likes this method more than plopping which gives me more frizz) .
will see hw it goes.. aah
