@ Cupcake Queen - I meant to say, if you decide to sell your DB PSC, let me know I will buy it off you, add it to my collection LOL

ha ha thought you might Curliesue. Sounds like you’re a big fan tongue wink

I tried it again and I think it makes me break out in my hairline. It’s getting one more chance, as it smells sooooo good. I’ll definitely PM you if it’s gotta go. (might keep a small sample for sniffing purposes tho !!!!)

I dont know of any other way for you to use this, I know some curlies use it as a leave-in, I dont know how your hair would take to that with it being fine.

Mine is fairly thick and dry so I can slather anything on my hair and it just absorbs it grrr Quite annoying when you only have a small sample of something!

I’ve used two or three pumps as a leave in quite a few times and it does the job.  Although I am strongly favouring CJ Beauticulrs LI at the moment and using DB PSC as a rinse out/DT.

Signature

Curly end of wavy. I get chunky ringlets and some elongated S shapes.  Fairly dense, medium texture, medium porosity.

Rotation is key for me.  Get on well with most Curl Junkie products especially CQ, CIAB, PP for stylers, Hard hold gel on top; usually BRHG.  Also CJ protein treatments.
Other stuff B&A Gel, EO conditioners, GFRS, Hairveda Sitrinnillah, Joico K-Pak reconstruct, Afroveda TT and CL butters.

I am looking for a good leave-in conditioner for wavy hair 2a/2b of high porosity. Hair lacks definitely moisture, maybe proteins. My hair is dense but thin/fine also…

Preferably from the British curlies shop, but I wouldn’t mind high street product. I would like it to be CG product, and I would like to avoid polyquaternium also…

My hair is fine and porous too. I’m trying out CJ CCC lite and regular right now as leave ins/curl creams having just received some samples from the lovely Curliesue :o)

I tried the CJ CCCC lite today with CIAB on top and got quite good results. There is still that all over slight top layer frizz though once its dry. (does anyone know what causes that – lack of moisture/too much????) It might work for you though WavOla. Was going to try the regular CCCC tomorrow with some CIAB to see if a heavier leave in is better. Sorry that wasn’t much help - hopefully someone with a routine can chip in with some ideas.

I’m really interested to know what type of products/ingredients would work for a fine wavy with high porosity. I’ve assumed generally you’d need protein and moisture but it can’t be too heavy/oily so that it weighs the curl down…......is that totally wrong ???  Tried a little bit of the anita grant cafe latte yesterday to smooth the top frizz and it just made it look icky and limp. I’d assumed elongation is a bad thing for a wavy too if it pulls down the curls. Any help would be greatly appreciated – especially if it deals with the frizz monster !! confused

Cupcake Queen,

I wear a gel over my CJCCC and the lite version.  I have just learnt to accept I get frizz, gel helps to reduce the amount I get though.  Maybe you could try this

Im not an expert on leave-in conditioners but I have used the Curl Harmony Leave-in which is quite light and also moisturising.  I low use the Curl Harmony hair milk - this may be too rich for your hair as it is very thick.  Also the Kinky Curly Knot Today is highly praised - I havnt used this yet!

I agree with CurlieSue a little halo is a fact of life.  Maybe twice a year I get no halo day, and I have no idea why.  Emulating the exact conditions/amounts/etc is impossible.  Obviously I try to minimise, but can’t completely eliminate!

Things that help minimise are light and runny gels/serums after I have curl-towel scrunched and before diffusing.

Thanks Curliesue,

Yeah I think I’m just setting my hopes too high ! I’m in no frizz denial right now:o) ..... I’ll definitely give that a go . Hopefully, it won’t weigh it down and pull out the curl.

One day I’ll discover a wonder HG finisher product which in one swipe gets rid of dry hair frizz completely, doesn’t weigh it down and heck while it’s at it it can do the washing tongue laugh

Lol me too.  I meant to say, with the Cafe Latte - use a really small amount, smaller than a pea if poss, that is how much I use for the frizzies and mine is reallllllllllllllllllllly dry and damaged and frizzy and anything else that can cause it problems lol
