I had my hair straightened for the whole week last week and finally washed it on Friday, which pretty much gave me a weekend of ‘bad hair.’ I co-washed with Garnier Sleek and Shine, conditioned with Naked Rescue mixed with a little amount of honey, and used a little the sleek and shine as a leave in. I then used the Naked Curl Creme and Garnier Endurance Gel and plopped. After taking the t-shirt off there was bit of frizz so I used some pink boots and diffused, and plopped again. This was quite late at night (11pm) and I had to be up at 6 and I knew my hair wouldn’t be completely dry. When I woke, though still damp it was in o.k. condition so I tied it up (as I have to) and and used a little bit pink boots on my fringe and a tinier amount on my pony tail. But at about 11am when I went for my break my hair had all poofed up allowing me to feel self conscious for the rest of the working day (‘till 5pm).
I was working on Sunday too but it was little bit better than on Saturday. I used the Naked curl creme and it helped to calm some frizzies and a little bit of hairspray and was good to go.
I woke up today with big hair-but as I was just lounging about the house I just gathered it in a messy bun (a great friend of mine!) but at about 3pm I couldn’t take it anymore - my scalp felt incredibly itchy and I noticed a bit of build up on it. So I massaged it with coconut oil, left it to ‘marinade’ for an hour and went straight it shower. I felt I needed to low poo so used Naked detox. I conditioned with Superdrug’s Natural C&SA; (not particularly impressed) and the IC from the same range (very impressed!), and then used OS A&C as a leave in. I really want the Naked CC to work for me (it’s brilliant for 2nd day hair) so I tried it again but this time I combed it through too (as per the instructions on the back) and then scrunched and the results seemed a little bit better while wet, scrunched in some endurance gel, and plopped.
My hair is still plopped in an t-shirt (saves me from touching it and turning it into a frizzy mess) so will report later on whether combing the creme through has made any difference - hope it does!
