Update:

well after 5 hours my hair is still wet (well damp mostly but it still isn’t dry) and I don’t really fancy going to bed with hair which isn’t dry. I have to say I am pretty impressed with the amount of hold I do have - without using any gel! And I’m proud of myself for not touching my hair (much!) There’s a tiny amount of frizz at the back of my hair (where it’s mostly dry) but it’s bearable and I’m sure some conditioner tomorrow will sort it out. There’s some good defintion too, I was worried my hair wouln’t clump very well but my hair has still manged to revert to it’s normal state of big locks somehow (not that I’m complaining). I think that the ‘smoothing’ method has also managed to make my hair a tad longer, so for everyone looking for length I’ll recommend his as opposed to srunching.

I do prefer scrunching and plopping though, I don’t have much volume at the moment, but that could be due to the fact I have no layers in my hair, I just have it sort of feathered, so the hair around my face and is short and some rests just above my shoulders, the rest is BSL. But I’m always afraid of having layers put in - the last thing my hair needs is body! But as I said it’s still a bit wet so we’ll see tomorrow morning

well i’m glad to say it worked! And it felt better by not needing to use any gels! I managed to acheive 4th day hair too! On Tuesday I just used some Naked CC and it kept until today morning (although I did have to tie it up this morning). But I’ve gone back to my nirmal routine today as I didn’t have time to let my hair air dry…I washed about 1pm and then diffused. I’ll probably add some pictures later.

Cowash - GF R&S
Conditioner - Naked Shine mixed with honey
used extra virgin olive oil as a leave in (we’re in for a wet weekend!)
And pink boots, purple botts and GF Endurance gel, plopped and diffused. OS Cocounut as a leave in to calm frizz after diffusing.

I was in the rain today too and it’s still holding up well - not any frizz!

what I need to learn:
I should not go to sleep with my hair with my hair wet, even if it is slightly wet
My hair will take more than 5 hours to air dry.

Washed again today, same method as Monday but I used a little less conditioner.

ergh rain. Hair ws fine this morning, just used a tiny bit of naked cc, but then it rained and now frizz bomb…I’ve decided that teri’s method would work best in the summer, well when it’s dry anyway but for the 5months of wet weather we have to look forward to know I’ll need extra hold from using gels.

My hair felt slightly over conditoned (better term for greasy) so just co washed with GF R&S, and used a tiny bit of OS for a leave in. I’m starting to feel that the GF is a bit too thick to use as a coash so I may buy the OS tea tree tomorrow and try that.
Then I just used my normal routine and will diffuse in an hour.

So I just has wash again, just a horrible couple of hours which consisted of losing my keys, going back to uni (the lecture theatre, cafe, libary, seminar room) in the rain to look for them. Luckily I found them (I was incredibly lucky, I asked the bus driver if he had seen them AND HE HAD THEM!!! :D)

Well after that hair was not looking too good. I haven’t completly rewashed but jushed water washed with cold water, then used olive oil, pink boots, and GF Endurance, sruched and am now plopping. I’ll diffuse later too (I cannot go to bed with damp hair!)

Cowash - GF R&S
Conditioner -Naked SHINE (haven’t used this in a while and it really is great stuff!)

I used Superdrug’s Intensive Coconut Condish as a leave in (a little more than usual) so only used a tiny amount of pink boots, followed by my usual amount of boots purple gel and srunched, then plopped for ages. I let my hair dry naturally but I notice when I do this, no matter how much gel I use it will always frizz - it’s not a massive inconvience, it is still bearable but it would be nice to have frizz free curls :D Well when this problem aproached, my hair was maybe 90% dry, I just used some diluted OS coconut condish and that always work well even after diffusing.
It’s weird for me, the curl formation and defintion on extent is always good, I just have a problem with frizz, even John Frieda couldn’t cure it! And it’s usally just on the main body, the canopy and hair aronf my face is usually great (which I suppose is ok as if someone just sees my face it’ll be fine :D)

Now I just have it in a high pony (not quite a pineapple). I’m hoping for an early night tonight, with a cup of tea, biscuits and a book so I’ll sign off.

Didn’t hav to do much today. I’ve never tried this method before on dry hair but this is what I did:
Just split my hair into two halves and wet my hands and rand them through each side, being careful not no split the curls up but still twirling them into place. Then I used some dilued OS coconut condish to calm frizzies and voila, good enough to leave out! I used to be cautious of using water on dry hair but I’ve been reading many posts lately about how it activates the products already in your hair, so I’ll do that tomorrow again too.

well I managed to acheive 5TH DAY HAIR! woo get me! admittedly I did have to tie it up on Saturday and Sunday, and I would have washed it on Sunday morning but didn’t have time But it still looked good tied up, I had nice ringlets :D But on Sunday it was feeling it, well only the top of my hair was frizzy. But I made a mistake and washed in th evening and although I dried it, it still wasn’t right :( So by the time I got to uni I had to tie it up into a bun. nd I’m just going to wash again now So I’ll report back (I think that I’ll straighten it though….)

I did straighten. So there wasn’t anu curlyness to report on. But I’ve just washed today, before I did though I massaged some evoo on my scalp and through my hair (my form of damage limitation really).
cowash: GF R&S (still haven’t manged to buy some OS tea tree!!!)
Conditioner: Deep down revitaliser mixed with honey (left on for about 15 minutes maybe)
Leave in: Superdrug’s Intensive C&SA;
styling products as usual but a smaller amount of pink boots. Rake it through but I also twirled my hair into place. Then a small amount of purple boots srunched through. Then finished with srunching in GF Endurance. I’m now plopping and will do for an hour and diffuse about 2 hours before I go to bed.

I finally bought the OS conditioners so I got home and jumped in the shower straight away! I used the mint and tree tree for co-wash and was looking forward to it and I remember reading about the tinglyness it leaves and wow! It is so refreshing! It is still tingling an hour later! I loved the smell, it was like being inside and After Eight Mint! I then conditioned with OS pear and avacado and was pleased with it also. I liked the consistency of it, just right for a normal condish. This also smell lush. After I rinsed it out my hair was so smooth - I found it hard to figure out how frizz could possibly develop! Even when I combed my hair after I got out the shower and used any stylers it was looking very shiny and smooth.

I didn’t use a leave in, and raked in a smaller than usual amount of pink boots and twirled. I also bought a different GF gel - Extreme Styling Gel, so I scrunched this through. It was extremely sticky though - I guess that why it says ‘glue’ on the front! But it seems good enough, I didn’t use as much as I do with the endurannce gel though.  And now I’m plooping.

I just realised that I should not have used as many new products as I did today - if something goes wrong or right I won’t know what to blame/love…

Hi,

Glad to see them products are working for you at the moment!....I know what you mean about using to many new products at the same time, that’s why I mix and match and try them on their own to try and find out, which products are doing what in my hair.

I will be getting the OS mint and Tea tree soon, however Im not a fan of the smell!...I have the OS Avocado and Pear and also find the consistency good, quite thick.
