Cheers guys, I’ll try and upload pics once I’ve mastered the styling.

Finally washed my hair (hadn’t done so since last Sunday night!  gulp ), so washed low pooed twice and then conditioned with James Brown moisture mask, but also followed with the Hair Remedy DDR. The JB conditioner is nice enough but nothing overly special, I picked it up for a couple of pounds in TK Maxx which means it must be discontinued? Thank God it’s not a HG then!

Used OS A&C as a leave in and styled with CP LCC. I have to say I’m not so sure on the fringe now…but I probably should have blow dried it into place instead of clipping it away. Hair should be dry in a few hours so I’ll have to flat iron and see. I’m still able to push it to the side so it’s not too bad.

Yesterday, my hair was very moisturised, to the the point where it felt quite greasy. Today however I woke up with almost unbearable dry hair. So I did a deep treatment with CP Tumuca mask and styled wit CJCCCC. But my hair now is overly soft, lacks any definition and for want of a better word is just poofy. I washed at 4pm so hair should be dry by now but it is still quite damp. I hate how my hair will only look its best when I leave to dry naturally for 5 or 6 hours, but I now have quite full days at uni, with no free mornings/days so will have to try and find a new routine.

On the plus side,he fringe did look ok, even if I don’t blow dry and use a straightener it worked.

Wow, I managed to style my 4th day hair and acheive a brilliant result - my hair hasn’t looked this good in quite a while!

For the past couple of days I’ve been using DB Curling Creme Gel (thanks for the review CT!) and it had been working very well. But I woke up today and hair was not very good il defined and not very curly. So what 4th day hair should be like I guess..

So I instead of rewashing (as I have work today and dont have 6 hours to spare waiting for it to dry…) I used smoothed in CJCCC then damped my hair a little. Then after a while I diffused. Now I have beautiful boucy curls smile Quite a shame that I have to tie it up for work now.

My hair seems to longer responding to, or no longer needing DTs.

I usually no only solely condition with the deep down conditioner from Wilkinsons. It’s cheap I know but it gets the job done! It’s quite strange as it’s a little heavy on the protein and I though I wouldn’t need that with my coarse hair type but I will always have good hair if I use it.

I was weary of the fact that I hadn’t DCd in a while though so used CP TMM today. A mistake as my hair is now probably over moisturised and doesn’t feel right or curling properly. My hair hasn’t felt this bad in quite a while. If ain’t broke…

I’ve also starting using the new Naked curl shampoo and conditioner. I bought it a few weeks back and though I didn’t like the conditioner (it made my hair a little too fluffy but I’m guessing finer haired or curlies looking for volume may like it smile ) I have now began to mix the ‘poo with the conditioner to wash my hair and it’s been working great. It means that I now can use the CP LCC without having to take a break as my hair is always cleansed from the oils.

I’ve also been using the BeeMine BeeHold curly butter. Though it didn’t too much for me on wet hair, I love using it as a moisturiser on 2nd day hair.

Oh, also I’ve recently sometimes began to wash my hair at night and style it in the morning if I don;t have somewhere to be early. Before going to bed I’ll leave in some of my usual leave in conditioner, wrap my hair in a towel and go sleep. And then in the morning I’ll run wet hands through it to dampen it then style. Doing this means my hair is usually dry in three hours!

So I now finally have a pretty much fixed routine!
Though I must be careful to only do a DT when my hair needs it. I think it gets plenty of moisture daily from the CP LCC and the BH CB that it maybe doesn’t need any extra help?

Once again my hair seems to be over conditioned and I really don’t know why!

On Sunday I did condition with AO HSR and used a bit more leave in then I usually would, though it was very moisturised it was still curling so didn’t pose too much of a problem. I washed yesterday and conditioned with thee wilkinson’s conditioner, using the normal amount of leave in and basically ended up with yucky oily hair forcing me wash today. So I clarified with the Naked low poo and conditioned with OS A&C, but even that has left my hair quite yucky.

It could be residue from the CP LCC (which I really hope it isn’t as I have nothing else to turn to!). But this has only happened since I’ve been using the purple boots gel again (since Sunday) but surely that couldn’t be contributing to over conditioning??

Who knows, but I’ll probably have a naked hair day tomorrow!

I’ve decided that I an no longer only only low poo. I have been doing that recently and it resulted in my scalp being quite dry and dandruff! At first I wasn’t sure of it was product build up but never use products on my scalps or my roots really so it couldn’t be that.

However, I still do need to clarify often simply because the CP LCC which is a product I always use (no need to rotate anymore smile apart from conditioners) is quite rich. So i think I will alternate between cowashing and low pooing (mixed with some conditioner) every time I wash my hair.

I’m also once again at a stage where I’m debating whether I do need to have my hair cut or not. Rather amazingly it does not see too bulky or unmanageable but I think that I may benefit from layers so that it isn’t blocky and has some shape. But my friends disagree and say that it look s fine…I guess I could go wait for a few weeks and go in for a tidy up, or in the middle if June after exams as a small treat? Hmm I guess I’ll see how I feel in a week’s time.

Gosh, it has been a bit of while. Just read my last entry where I was debating whether I should get my hair cut and I did have one a few weeks ago (just posted in Matthew James’ thread). The cut went well but I am now a little concerned of one side being a little shorter, but no-one else seems to notice…I guess I just like symmetry?  rolleyes

Apart from that it’s been great and I’m now trying a different styling technique, just raking my curl creme in and slightly squishing my hair rather than twirling it in sections. I was growing a little annoyed with the rolls that usually formed in bottom layer. This method still gives me good curls, but hair seems to have a little more volume…I’m guessing this is because I’m not using enough of the curl creme as I usually do as I’m no longer applying it in sections. So I think next try to still section my hair but still on rake through.

Most recently this humidity is driving me mad! I tried leaving in a lot of extra conditioner in today and it sort of helped but not much. It’s just so big a poofy. I am trying to stay away from gels as well as I dislike how they feel on my hair so I’m guessing that adding as muich extra moisture as possible will help? Or will that make the air steal from me? I always forget the science on these things…

Today, as well as the poofiness, the biggest problem was that felt quite hard and a little frizzer. But right now I’ve just sprayed some Cream Mist from Crown Pride on to it and it’s sort of done the trick. The best thing to do though is probable to just tie it back and keep it off my back.

But if anyone knows of softer gels that won’t leave my hair hard or flaky I will be much obliged. Thank you!

Once again another long gap between entries! Sorry. Just wanted to note that in the summer what had worked was using the Boots curl creme instead of the Crown Pride creme. So less oils in summer, but extra conditioning - lesson learned!

I have been living in Italy since September and as expected have spent most of time staring at glorious curls! There also quite a lot of CG conditioners here, haven’t tried any yet as brought many bottles of Inecto coconut conditioner with me! My hair did certainly love the warmer month of September here, only took 3 hours to completely dry!

But now alas winter is upon us (though it is only ten degrees so not as cold as Britain :p ) and my hair is suffering a little. It’s dry and quite stringy… I need to do a really deep condition but also need to use a protein conditioner, I haven’t used one in months! And my hair is now looking a little flat - didn’t think I’d ever complain about that! So I think I’ll do a DC over Sunday night, and once I get home (next week!) I will use the Original Source white pear conditioner that my hair is crying out for!

Also length check - I am now below bra strap length! And when it is straight it is mid back. As it has grown a little longer my curl pattern seems to have loosened a little, but I think when I get some protein they’ll hopefully spring back up.

Hope everyone’s having a good Christmas month smile

Hey CHM, urm that didn’t really go plan, didn’t see him in the end as he didn’t respond to my message. But he messaged me whilst I was her, but we’re on NC at the moment as I couldn’t be bothered to deal with him and hated the idea of a fake friendship just to make him feel better, finally being angry at him helped…But I am a lot better now smile time to bury the hatchet perhaps.

Recently my hair has been quite dry and a little stringy - none of those clumps and thicker locks I’m used to. I thought this could be due to the weather (in between seasons, and a lot of rain; my hair’s worst enemy is most definitely the rain!). But when I washed my hair yesterday, I didn’t use any gel with styling as I have been doing for the past few months (out of habit if anything). And now my hair is all almost entirely normal. So I’m guessing the BRHG was having some sort of drying effect? It’s becoming warmer now so I do think I can stop using the gel now, only tend to need it in the height of summer/wintry times….or so I think. I may need a another year to figure out when exactly it is that I need gel!

I think some stringiness is due me needing a hair cut (haven’t has one since September…) It’s coped relatively well, but some ends do need chopping, as a few have split, and I can see that one side of a curl is growing faster than the other. But I’ve booked my appointment with Matt in June (way in advance as I was scared of him being too busy!) Hopefully it’ll behave until then.

And length check.: so happy with how long it is getting. My hair has layers so it’s not all one length, but the longest part nearly reaches mid back. I haven’t straightened it in a while (which is great as it means it hasn’t been frustrating me), but if I pull straight it does reach waist length (that’s how much shrinkage I have!) Looking at pictures tells me that two years ago it was in between shoulder and armpit length, so I’m very pleased with how much it has grown. Hopefully if I continue to take good care of it, in two years it will grow another 4inches and it’ll be at waist length…I’m hoping that will still be manageable…
