Komaza Califia Conditioner

This conditioner is for tighter coiled or coarse hair.

Pros:

- Smells lovely - kind of like caramel or butterscotch

- Has a decent amount of slip

- Extremely moisturizing - leaves hair very soft

- Can be used as a mini DT as well, leaving it in your hair for 15 mins or so

- Gives good curl enhancement

Cons:

- Pretty rich conditioner - so finer curlies, or hair that gets weighed down easily might find this too much for them

- Gave me a lot of surface frizz

______________________

This is a lovely range which I really wanted to love. Sadly, I think it is just slightly too much for my hair. I noticed that my tight 3c curls underneath loves this stuff, and become frizz free ringlets, but my canopy, which has a much looser curl, got frizz and felt over-coated. Its a shame because the scent is lovely and it gives a lovely dose of moisture to my curls. I think for me, personally, its one I won’t repurchase, but for those with coarse and tighter curls, I would urge you to try out this line.

For my hair this gets a 6/10

Overall, however, I would give this an 8/10. I think Komaza products are high quality and they are spot on in recommending this conditioner at 3c and above hair types smile

Komaza Califia Leave-in Conditioner

A thick, moisturizing leave-in conditioner

Pros:

- Again, the scent from this range is yummy!

- Lots of slip, easy to detangle with

- Extremely moisturizing

- Produced decent enough clumping or curls

Cons:

- The consistency of this is very very runny which I don’t like. Its far too easy to loose a load (so apply a little at a time)

- Seems to soak straight into hair which means its harder to tell if you have missed any areas

- Left my hair frizz and over-coated

_______________________________

Not much to say about this one. I liked it much less then the Califia conditioner. I think my results from this are for the same reason as the general conditioner - its too rich for my hair canopy (again, the underneath liked it better). I get a lot of frizz when I use these conditioners and my hair feels product-y. Again, I would recommend trying this for coarse curlies with tighter curls, but I also don’t think the leave-in is on par with the Califia conditioner.

This one gets a 6/10 from me overall. I really disliked the consistency of this one.

Adjoa,

Sorry I got it mixed up downer Its actually castor oil, and CT (or somebody else - pretty sure it was CT tho) says this needs to be low poo’d out.  I have only used it once and it doesnt seem to have caused any problems.  Sorry for confusing you.

no worries i get confused all the time too lol. I find it hard to get my head round it sometimes but im getting there.

As i tend to use a lot of oils in my hair i tend to lo poo about once a week/once every ten days so I can see why this product may not be great for strict CGers

I think I’ll purchase the conditioner, I hear rave reviews.

I have the califa moisturiser and i love it. For both winter & spring, this is a bad-a** moisturiser!
Ive never had fullness or softness with a moisturiser and it’s amazing. It’s my HG moisturiser and I will never part with it!

Efuru, I love you hair in you avi, how did you do it like that?
