hi luvmycurls,

if you’re selling i am VERY interested, i always like to have this as it seems to be the best cream,in terms of keeping moisture in, for me at least. (i feel my hair doesnt like what every one likes either) i think you will like the burdock root better as it a similar thickness to the komaza leave in. it has water as its first ingredient and wont leave your hair greasy .. honest, it will just be moisturised. i dont think you would be dissapointed. i like the burdock too but as like oils i go for theahoc..  i hope you find something that works very well soon.. however if you get all the moisture you need with the komaza then if its not broken dont fix it wink

LUVmyCURLS - 10 March 2011 02:41 PM

:( Why won’t my hair just behave and like what everybody else who has a similar hair type to mine does????? GGGgggrrrr!! Actually why didn’t I take heed!lol! I did see people say buy the Burdock Root Cream if you have finer hair but NO muggins here ignored that advice and purchased the Amla & Olive Heavy Cream which smells lovely but is truly HEAVY!! As i bought it straight from the company and paid a shocking price for shipping i refuse to just give it away!lol! I washed my hair last night and tried to use it as a scalp cream hhhhhhuuummmm I’m not sure i like the results! I used a tinnie winnie bit but today my hair is SO greasy and feels I can’t explain like the oil is just sitting on it!!!

What to do, what to do…...Do I just stick with my Komaza Cali leave in that is working just fine for me or buy the Burdock Root Cream which eveyone seems to love decisions, decision!!!

hahaha girl, i was watching this space for you! smile xxx

i looooooveeeee the AOHC!!! sorry it didn’t work for you!! the burdock root IS a bit thinner/lighter so might work better.
I get mine from the netherlands here at mariposa-import and it’s €21,99. i think shipping to the UK is around €11 but i could be wrong.
She has the shampoo, cocoa tree detangling ghee (i finished mine today!), burdock root cream, amla heavy cream and the tea hair gel (was too light for my hair).

Hhhhhmmmm when coverting into pounds I don’t think there’s much of a difference when ordering from the states lol, I think it worked out to be about £32! I’ve watch some if your YT reviews they are very informative! It’s nutz how deceptive hair can be I would have definitely thought your texture would have had the same experience as mine!lol! I live and learn! May just try the Burdock Root Cream!

yeah, at first i thought it would be too heavy for me, but i much prefer it to the burdock root for the moisture, and it’s not greasy on my hair! i am in love!!
For me here, the postage is only €4,95 so it makes sense for me to order from mariposa and not the state, although she doesn’t have the whole line and i am so tempted by that honey balm thing, but will try MyHoneyChild instead i think!
Hope the Burdock root works better for you! smile

Funny enough I have the Honey Balm sample size and haven’t used it as yet as i haven’t got a clue what to do with it!! It literally is honey lol I’m scared i’ll apply it and find loads of bugs and flies in my hair yada yada yaaa! :o

hi jackylou,

my hair is not dry anymore post washing thanks to you know what lol!
but i have noticed that either my shampoo bar or the aubrey organics island naturals conditioner or even the komaza conditioner is making my hair feel dry and ive noticed little bits of breakage in the form of hairs without the bulb attached. its not terrible but i need to nip that in the bud pronto! hhmmm.. confused

It’s funny that you say this i love the Komaza Cali leave in but didn’t really like the conditioner it made my hair a lil squeaky, so i don’t use it! Wonder if it’s that making your hair feel a little dry?? I hope you can eliminate what ever it is!!!:) Good luck!

gosh, TripleA you are the 2nd person who says they don’t really like the komaza IMT! it’s my holy grail DC, i love it to bits and i am in the process of getting another tub, cos nothing else i try compare to it!
i am also in the process of putting some stuff up on the swap boards or for sale, must make a list later!
Ooooh the Nilotica and Manketti Buttercream is not working for you? i love the stuff, i did a twist out with it yesterday (with the CP organic hair milk under), it actually has a bit of hold to it, was fabulous.
Isn’t it funny how products really do work differently for different people?

It’s funny that you say this i love the Komaza Cali leave in but didn’t really like the conditioner it made my hair a lil squeaky, so i don’t use it! Wonder if it’s that making your hair feel a little dry?? I hope you can eliminate what ever it is!!!:) Good luck!

tripleA - 15 March 2011 04:22 PM

hi jackylou,

my hair is not dry anymore post washing thanks to you know what lol!
but i have noticed that either my shampoo bar or the aubrey organics island naturals conditioner or even the komaza conditioner is making my hair feel dry and ive noticed little bits of breakage in the form of hairs without the bulb attached. its not terrible but i need to nip that in the bud pronto! hhmmm.. confused

hi luvmycurls,

if you’re selling i am VERY interested, i always like to have this as it seems to be the best cream,in terms of keeping moisture in, for me at least.

What to do, what to do…...Do I just stick with my Komaza Cali leave in that is working just fine for me or buy the Burdock Root Cream which eveyone seems to love decisions, decision!!!

hahaha girl, i was watching this space for you! smile xxx

oooh thank you!! smile
i think i am going to straighten my hair in a couple of weeks for my 2 year anniversary so i can see the growth properly! yaaayyy!!

Hello Adjoa,

well i first bought the IMT conditioner from komaza and the first time i used it my hair felt a little stiff and dry and i noticed a little brittleness.

however the 2nd , and 3rd time my hair felt strong, not dry or brittle (i used it 3 weeks running). then i bought the olive conditioner and my hair really liked it and i noticed a reduction in the little breakage i was experiencing. i was using them on rotation as a DT once a week. basically i think my hair cant handle something in the IMT or maybe im someone who shouldnt use protein more than once a month. i may try protein once per month instead. my hair does feel stronger after but can feel brittle the next day. as i mentioned though i think i need to change my shampoo as this may actually be the problem
( e.g the amla/babussu may not work well with the komaza?)
i want to try the honeysuckle rose shampoo / conditioner from aubrey organics or maybe i need to start co-washing. dont get me wrong i still think both are good products but i prefer the olive treatment. i also noticed a little stiffness from their moisture cream, even though it really moisturised, the next day my hair can feel dry even if i use the leave in and the moisture cream.( this contains b5.. i definately must have a protein issue)
i hope i have explained myself adequately. all i can really tell you is i think i shouldnt use protein every week. i dont think my fine strands can handle it..

Adjoa - 15 March 2011 07:18 PM

@ Triple A, can you go into a bit more detail on the Komaza Intensive Moisture Therapy what didnt like about it? I was considering trying this and would love to hear how you found it

Thanks

hello LuvmyCurls,

dont worry, take as long as you need to decide, its your perogative smile
and you always have to think “is this product really not working?”
im thinking about putting half a tub of komaza care IMT conditioner and a nearly full tub of crown pride N&N butter cream on the swap board so i know how it is.. smile

@jackylou,

its true everyone’s hair is so different…
yes i may well have to put the IMT up for swaps me thinks.. i will keep the olive DT as it does work for me, i just need to stop using shampoo bars. my sister finds them stripping too.
re: the crown pride N&M butter cream, to be honest & fair, ive only used it once over the hairveda whipped creme ends hydration and i got annoyed cos i got white bits in my hair lol! i also used the bee mine hold curling buter on TOP of it, so i think i just overloaded my products there or the combination didnt mix well. i will try the N&M butter alone one day before writing it off and see what happens. my son’s hair likes it though so its not a total waste.. oh the joys of trial and error!
this is why i swear by my AHOC, hasnt let me down ever!
i cant wait to see what you put on the swap board/sale board.. smile

Hi TripleA, could also be the coconut oil, some people are sensitive to it and it gives that same kind of brittle feeling you talked about. Have you ever experienced this with coconut oil?
Just an idea in case you find that the protein is actually alright.
But they do both contain coconut oil, having said that, so does the olive moisture mask actually.
ok, i am just chatting rubbish smile

@jackyloulou,

i think you may be right about the coconut oil. i have never used it alone. i wanna check to see if the olive dt has C.O in it. i will check and let you know. i wonder what it is about coconut oil that causes stiffness/brittleness?

@ LMC, im sorry for diverting the thread. i’ll leave it there..x
