Hi everyone! I’m 19 and thanks to my mother’s genes and my own problems which I’ve mentioned on other threads, I’m going grey already! :( I have very very dark brown hair, which is also very thick. This means that the contrast between my greys and my other hair is quite noticeable, but luckily the grey hairs are usually covered by my still brown curls. I’ll be leaving things as they are for now, but I was wondering if anyone had any opinions on dyeing/just growing grey gracefully even if I am young to be doing so lol!
Thanks everyone.

Hi baskin - you don’t need to be ‘greying gracefully’ just yet hon, unless you want to! How do you feel about it yourself? I think it’s all about that really.

I’m approaching 50 and, up and until last August, had been colouring/highlighting my hair since the age of 16 so figured I’d grow in the grey (although I still have my doubts! lol!)

There are lots of options out there - hi/lo lights, semi/demi permanent etc - which would all cover grey hair, should you wish to.

I guess it’s just made me panicky now that they’re cropping up! I guess I’ll just see how it goes for now, but I’m pretty lazy and find it hard to trust myself with things like this, so dyeing worries me too. I could go and get it done professionally, but looking at my hairdresser’s hair she might try to go a bit crazy! XD

I am getting more and more greys (and some of them are starting to grow quite long!)  I’ve resisted colouring so far due to my scalp, but sooner or later I’m going to have to do something about it!!

Hair likes: Ultra Swim shampoo, Abeni Dream Cleanser and Abeni light conditioner, oils and glycerine
Hair hates: aloe vera, gels of any kind, most conditioners (scalp issues)

I’m in my early twenties and a year or two ago I noticed a couple greys coming in and concluded that it was stress related due to the events at the time. My only concern is how fast I’ll go grey from this point onwards; I keep imagining it’ll be an exponential increase in greys by the time I’m in my mid twenties which feels too soon to go grey. I must say though that the few I’ve found are so shiny (talk about a silver lining lol)  LOL .

Conditioner: Herbal Essences (orange/dark red bottles only)
Detangling: TRESemme Naturals Smooth
