When my hair was not curling at all this helped me tons! but i soon realised it was doing nothing for the moisture of my hair and it left it feeling really strange. Have not used it since but would recommend to people first getting curls back because it tides you over tilll your real curls pop out.

I find that the boots curl cream is great when you first put it on, but the effect does not last very long and I have to top it up.  I have very tight corkscrew curls and so I can put tons of it and my hair will just absorb it all!  But I still use it as to be honest I havent found anything better.

I purchased this last week because I couldn’t believe I’d found a curly product for £1.32!
I haven’t used it on my hair yet, but I have used it on my 4 year olds 3c curls.  Her hair feels great and less dry than when I use her staple mixed chicks leave-in. I put Olive Oil under it (as I do with every product that I use on her hair) but now that I am reading your reviews, I am a little concerned.

I must admit, I was careless and didn’t realise it has alcohol in it before I put it on her hair.  Is it really that drying?  Does this occur after a number of applications? Like I said, it looks and feels great at the moment, but I only put it on this morning!

Thanks Ladies…

The above products are the ones I use mainly, but as my curly hair is quite new to me, I am still experimenting with various stylers and leave-ins, in my quest for multiple day hair!  Soooo not feeling the daily wash routine!!

Hi curlylocs232

I have been using this product for about 3 or 4 years now.  If you have corkscrew curls like me, then at the beginning of its use, it will make your hair look beautiful.  After a few years, I can confidently say my hair is much drier than before.  Dont worry about using it on your daughter’s hair once, it will not have a long term effect.

I am trying to find an alternative at the moment!

Sorry, just wanted to add something - it appears that a lot of the curlies here use boots pink and love it, so the fact that I find it drying does not mean that it will do the same to your daughter’s!  And again, I am still using the stuff because I can’t find anything better (still searching!).

Thanks for letting me know - I wouldn’t want o risk it on her really. I will use on mine though and see how my hair likes it.

Having looked back at pictures of my daughter with the boots pink creme on her hair, there was a lot of frizz.  She had a bit of a halo.  Not as defined as her usual Mixed Chicks results, so I’ll use the boots on myself and stick to Mixed Chicks for her.

It’s really all I ever used, I put on quite a bit when my hair is slightly wet, and then use pantene curl mousse. I’m a little too weary to try much else, as when I tried the naked products, my hair completely poofed up!
