What about Castile soap? It lathers up really well and is concentrated

Or Mother Goose cheaper but not as natural

I would really recommend Naturally Thinking if anyone is looking for very simple formulations.  They sell cosmetic bases for people to add aromatherapy oils to.  But the bases work well as very plain products in themselves!  The conditioner is one ofthe best I’ve ever had for CO washing, though I need to use a leave in as well.  Most of their products only have about 5 or 6 ingredients, so v little to react to.

I would also think this would be a good base for any curlies who want to mix up their own perfect blend for a conditioner.  I’m thinking of mixing it with 5% jojoba oil to see how that works for my hair…

It doesn’t work out that cheaply for me, as I like using LOADS as a CO wash.  But I’m thinking of buying a whole litre next time which should be more economical - if only in the long run!

Curl: fine 3a/3b

CO washing since April ‘11 - love it, but it’s started over-conditioning my hair so I’m working on a modified regime

CO Wash: Naturally Thinking conditioner base, ASDA Smart Price Conditioner
Leave In: Body Shop Rainforest Moisture
Treatments: Coconut Oil
Styling: I’ve never found a styling product I like
Products: Shower filter, floursack towels
