Have only been on this site for 2 months, but feel I have got to know you all so well!  Not sure if this has been tried before, but how about a curly meet up?

I live in Newport, South Wales, and would be happy to travel a bit to meet up with other curlies!

So, if you are interested, post me with your postcode, and I will happily organise some where for us to all meet up!  Maybe towards Christmas?  Maybe meet up in a pub/restaurant and we can discuss curls till the cows come home LOL!

If you think this is a good idea, please let me know!  For instance I would love to meet up with Julia (Waving not Drowning)!!  For others who are not in this area, maybe start your own meet up?  If people send in their postcodes, we could find a middle point for people to meet up?

Let me know what you think!  If you think it is a bad idea, please also let me know LOL!

Emma.

Probably not a good idea for people to send in their postcodes - security reasons (please don’t post up your postcodes on the forums). However, meet ups are a great idea!  grin Could be done by UK area - eg London, Midlands etc.

I’m in Pembrokeshire, west Wales. It sounds like an interesting idea. I know that they do ‘meet-ups’ on other curly sites. I wonder how many would turn up to a Welsh one? I think I would, it would be so weird (in a nice way!) to put faces to names that I see on BC.

Thanks for your comment Crystal Tips!  I did actually mean to put PM me with postcode (and only the first part, just to get an idea of your location)!  Please don’t post your address details here.

For those interested in South Wales/West Country, would Cardiff be a good place to meet up?  Just thinking that public transport wise it would be easier for most people to get there.  Obviously depends on where people will be coming from, so if any one else is interested, I can always try to find a halfway point for us all!

As I said, it’s just a thought, and may not happen for a while, but would be good to know if any one is interested grin

Ahhh thanks Emma. I am in Birmingham and will happily travel for a meet up. Ideally within a couple of hours travelling distance.

Curly end of wavy. I get chunky ringlets and some elongated S shapes.  Fairly dense, medium texture, medium porosity.

Rotation is key for me.  Get on well with most Curl Junkie products especially CQ, CIAB, PP for stylers, Hard hold gel on top; usually BRHG.  Also CJ protein treatments.
Other stuff B&A Gel, EO conditioners, GFRS, Hairveda Sitrinnillah, Joico K-Pak reconstruct, Afroveda TT and CL butters.

Hi Julia,

I will keep you posted!  So far there are 3 of us, but as and when others get interested, I can try and find a mid point for us to meet up.  This could end up being a nightmare to organise, as well as trying to keep it within travelling distance, also need a date most people are free!!  This may not happen for a while red face But good to know there is interest in this LOL!  Would be a good chance to swap all those unused products sitting in our bathroom cabinets LOL
