I’m only 15, but I’m itching to get my hair cut (just about an inch, though)

Signature

Everything I use is 100% natural. I make most of them myself because then I’m sure what’s in it and I’m sure nothing’s added, it’s pure, it’s natural.

Things I avoid: Mineral oil (codename: Baby oil), heat (I’m a total, no hair driers, no straighteners, no curling irons, no flat irons, no hot combs…nada), parabens, silicones, sodium chloride…

Growing plan: At least 6 inches longer in a year.

Hey everybody, I know I haven’t posted much on here for a while. Sorry ‘bout that.

Anyways, I have a new regimen/ routine that I’ll tell you all about later.

This week has been….. I don’t know. My hair’s currently a mess and well, I’m going to leave it like this till I have to and I mean HAVE TO step out of my house. I don’t want to have to comb my hair or fidle around with itmucj. I just want to get a trim, get some long-lasting protective style done and leave my hair like that till Jan.

Yesterday,a lady came over and while she was chatting with my mum and I, she was like, “you should get your hair relaxed, you’ll look prettier if you do,” and I was like, ‘what?!?! Where did that come from?!’ My mum has type 3 curls which she’s been relaxing for some years now, I have type 4a/b/c curls now (dunno y, but my curl sizes have been geting smaller and tighter for some time now. It’s alright, though. As long as it stays curly and kinky, I’m fine). Anyways, the thing is, I never really felt as beautiful as I feel now when I had board straight hair (mum relaxed my hair when I was a kid and kept at it till shortly befor my 14th birthday). My hair’s wild, it’s crazy, it s beautiful, it’s a part of me…. I love my hair so much and I totally detest people trying to make my hair out to be like some disease, somehing meant only for horror movies or anything along those lines, *sigh*

By the way, here’s a quick tip for anyone who’s just letting their hair be, like me: my hair is in two messy flatbraids all the way down, ends held up (the right end under the left braid and the left end under the right braid held with Bobby pins). Every night, I tie a satin scarf over my head to held my hair down even though it’s flat braided, I put a slack bonnet on over thAt and use a hair band to hold it in place with my desired tightness or whatever, I still sleep on a satin pillow case thingy incase for some reason, the things fall of my head. By morning, I take them off and my hair looks neat and as good as new. However if for some reason, I touch my hair or it gets damp, it looks as horrible as it does now, but once I do the whole night routine thing again, it looks as good as new all over again.

Bye for now,
~Samantha

Today’s been pretty good.

1. People kept staring at my hair instead of looking me in the eye when they were talking to me or if someone was talking to them.

2. I finally achieved a new hairstyle

3. Someone asked me this morning,“is that your real hair?”

4. Just found out that my dad’s cousin’s a natural too! Yay! And she loves it as much as I do! smile
