Ive always wondered why do some curl products include sodium hydroxide in their ingredients.?
Doesnt sodium hydroxide permanently straighten hair since its the main ingredient in hair relaxers.?
Hair type: 2c/3a
Co-wash: Garnier repair & protect/Naked Detox
You don’t have to worry about that, the quantity of sodium hydroxide in the products are way too small to affect the hair. The sodium hydroxide is used as a pH balancer and a preservative. HTH
Type 4 curly/fractal zigzag curls
