Hello

Shopping in boots last night I looked for the GFRS to try as I see lots of mentions of its wonder properties on the forum. It’s half price just now £1.52….. I bought two conditioners to try as co wash.

Used this morning followed by DB pumpkin seed KKNT and mop top gel. Nice soft

Enjoy

But I think it’s only the smaller bottle? the 400ml is the one being sold in Boots half price.

Oh no, I hope they won’t discontinue it, I’ve only just found it and it seems really good.  Don’t they know about all of us looking for cone free versions?!!

I think it is really odd they discontinued OS, I know they said on their site that stockists weren’t selling enough but that seems strange considering how popular the shower gels are.  Sorry you lost your favourite, I can imagine how annoying that is.  I’ve seen a few of the other OS conditioners lingering online or in pound shops but not that one.

I can’t find this in any of my local chemists at the moment, even Boots.  I was going to order some online and when I googled I discovered that some are called Hair recovery repair and shine and some say Fortifying conditioner.  Is there a difference?  The one I originally had from Boots was the Hair Recovery and I liked that but on some of the websites I’m not sure which I’m ordering.  I hope they’e not reformulating with a cone.

smile Another GFR&S condish lover here!

The bottle I have in my bathroom says ‘hair recovery’ on it and also states ‘new formula’, but it’s said that for quite a while, and I’ve checked the ingredients for ‘cones and there don’t appear to be any. I bought my most recent bottle in Wilkinson about a week or two ago and as far as I know, my local Boots are still stocking it, but next time I go into town, I will check and let you all know. I really hope this isn’t discontinued either! confused

I don’t know if GFRS is the UK equivalent of GF triple nutrition in the US, but I saw on another site that has been reformulated with amodimethicone. :-(

smile I popped into town yesterday, and yes, my local Boots are still stocking the Repair and Shine. Strangely enough though, I went into Wilkinson and it had disappeared off the shelves! The mystery deepens! rolleyes

I just picked up some of these yesterday.  3 for 2 at Boots.  Front says Hair Recovery - Repair and Shine.  Looks more or less like the same formula I remember the old labeling having; however, I think the stearamidopropyl dimethylamine is a bit lower than it used to be.  And the scent is more apple-y than tropical now.  That’s about it.

Seems a bit odd that they’d be discontinuing just after having reformulated.  Might be more that the various outlets are going to stop stocking it (it has an increasingly small shelf space at my local Boots stores) than Garnier discontinuing it (it is, after all, still prominently displayed on their website).
