You’re right ! I’m just looking everywhere to find what could be JBCO.

Hey. I think it’s Jamaican Black Castor Oil - I googled JBCO and came across a few hair blogs using it. Hope this helps. smile

Very useful list, some of them I was familiar with but it can be so confusing haha!
Oh - when people talk about the length of their hair (eg. BSL) are they talking about how long it is dry or wet/straight?

Hi zozo and welcome! Cool picture! Re your questions!  I’m actually not sure! I think usually they will say ‘when wet’ if its wet.  Don’t think its ever when straight though.

Not sure about other curlies, but when tighter type 3s or type 4s tend to talk about the length of their hair, they mean when it’s stretched, since their hair doesn’t tend to show length as well.

For example, unstretched, my hair is just brushing chin length.

But stretched, it’s about an inch off APL (Arm Pit Length).

I guess it depends on who’s talking, since everyone thinks differently.

Hope that helps!

What does CWC mean?

It means condition-wash-condition. You apply conditioner, then wash with shampoo, rinse out and condition again. It’s supposed to be good for oily scalps with dry hair.
Don’t know if it works.
