Girls, thank you so much again for your kind words, it was a pleasure to have you at our salon and delighted to be able to help.
Again it has been an absolute joy this week to see such enthusiastic (and knowledgeable) ‘curlies’ coming to visit our salon in Clapham and can i say, I am genuinely grateful for your trust and thoroughly enjoying the opportunity to help get the best from beautiful curls.
We are currently working hard at the salon to teach more of our team on how to handle different varieties of curls and textures and both my wife Anita and I are confirming dates to go to New York to expand our own knowledge on treating curly hair in every way possible.
Thank you all again for your kindness and trust by visiting us and hope we can continue to bring new life to your curls,

Thomas x

Hi
I had my hair cut and coloured today with Thomas in Clapham. The salon is great - very relaxed and friendly, Thomas is lovely and explains what he’s up to and, best of all, I left with a head of bouncy curls and not a grey hair in sight! Thomas obviously really enjoys cutting curly hair which is such a change! I can really recommend a trip there. It was a bit of a hike for me but worth it.

Thank you CelticCurly, you have such terrific hair and it was a pleasure to chat to you yesterday too.
Thank you for taking the time (and effort) to travel to our salon and look forward to seeing you again soon.
Have a great weekend and remember to stay out of the rain!

I have had a second appointment.  This time was even better than the first as I was not at all anxious and left Thomas to do what he thought.  4 weeks on my hair still has a lovely shape.  Cannot recommend him enough.

Hi Lela7, I think I can do your hair as these images look more ‘Caribbean’ than ‘Afro’ but if you were able to come into the salon for a consultation between both Rachel and myself, I’m sure one of us could help?

Would this suit?

Many thanks,
Thomas x

I phoned the salon, so I will be looking into your services. I know you don’t normally cater to my type- but my main product that I need, but salon’s don’t often have is a good detangler.

Hi Lela7, have you had a consultation with Thomas/Rachel yet? I have 4b/4c hair and curious as to how the discussions went… I am desperately seeking a stylist who can trim/cut my hair type WELL… would also love some colour. Thanks!

Also, I had to check out this post after hearing the brilliance that seems to be Thomas’ skills! Oh please learn how to work with afro hair smile!!  Thomas, does this also mean that colouring afro-textured hair (I have 4b/4c hair) is also outside your comfort zone? Either way, I would love to have a consultation with you and the stylist that you mentioned that has experience with Afro/Caribbean hair, if possible.

Hi ayodeli,
Many thanks for your enquiry and interest,
is it possible for you to send me a photo of your hair and I could advise from there if I’d be able to do it for you?

Absolutely love my new haircut Thomas, you took such a lot of time and care yesterday and my curly hair looks styled and Shiny and for the first time ever I am frizz free!
The girls were really friendly and I felt very relaxed in the salon right from the start, you inspired me with confidence and demonstrated your expertise in cutting curly hair,  succeeding in giving me a haircut that I am thrilled with. For someone who generally dreads the whole experience of going to the hairdresser I finally
Left a salon with a spring in my step and looking forward to my next visit.

Not sure if this thread is still active but I would just like to add my experience with Thomas.

I recently moved to the UK to go to school (I’m originally from the States). After doing the Deva Curl routine and having a stylist who specializes in that in America, I’ve been stuck in the unfortunately predicament of hard water and the need of a UK-based, curl-specializing stylist. Upon recommendation off this site, I went to Thomas today and it was AMAZING. He’s super nice, friendly and really knowledgeable/experienced with curly hair. The salon itself is also really laid back and inviting. We discussed my hair and he went to work and has finally provided the type of hair cut I’ve been searching for since I’ve been in the UK (about 11 months now). The best part is it’s specialized to ME and not out of some book. He works on you, as the individual, which is really stellar.

I’m not sure what my curl type is, maybe 3a or a hybrid of it. I kept having hairdressers cut “shelves” into my hair instead of flowing layers that work with my curls. He fixed that effortlessly and was even able to incorporate my personality into it, which was so great because I have felt before that there is little to no option with curly hair to express one’s self without straightening it to death. Anyway, he was really great and I will definitely be going back to him. I lucked out with this recommendation and am so grateful for it.

Thank you, Thomas, for the awesome hair!! :D

Hi guys

Thomas has such wonderful reviews - I did want to see him but I got in touch at the last minute before an important event and he was abroad. My hair needed cutting and I couldn’t wait, so I went back to Lee from Trevor Sorbie in Covent Garden after waiting for aaages for my hair to grow out after it was cut badly. I am reasonably happy - he did a good job. My hair is curling again and is very full. I last saw Lee in December and I was happy, but then went elsewhere after recommendations from this site and was far from happy.
I would still like to try Thomas next time - he’s only 15 minutes drive from me and I think my hair is still not reaching its full potential.

Hi Curlies!

I recently had my hair cut by Thomas and was really impressed by his skills and knowledge of curly hair.  He has great passion and enthusiasm for curls and devotes his time to dealing with each curl individually to achieve the right style/shape that suits the client.  My experience was amazing and refreshing. The atmosphere in the salon was great - very welcoming and friendly.

From the time I had my consultation, I knew I could trust Thomas.
I’m really happy with the results of my haircut which now has a better shape and compliments my features. I’ve uploaded a photo of it on my fotki page for those interested.

I thoroughly recommend Thomas. I will definitely be making another visit in the future.

Guys, I am at home working on my house and decided to have a T break (much needed) and thought I’d have
my daily look on British Curlies, I have to say I am completely overwhelmed and thoroughly grateful for everyone’s comments.
I can’t thank you all enough, I’m having the time of my life seeing so many curly’s and hope I can continue to serve as many
of you as possible and help put faith back in so many beautiful heads of hair.
I am in the process of confirming a date in the coming months to visit Devachaun in New York to spend a week doing education and generally seeing how it all works over there.
My wife Anita will be coming with me and hopes to learn specific colour techniques for curly hair, Anita is a colour specialist and has twice been crowned British Hair Colourist of the Year (under her maiden name of Anita Cox).
We are also working with our team currently to educate them all on all things curly, we hope to provide a Curl Haven right here on London soil!
Have a great weekend all and again, sincerest thanks.

Hi Thomas,

I noticed somewhere on this post that you were in Dublin doing a seminar.  Can you recommend any curl friendly hairdressers in Ireland or where I’d go about looking for one?

Thanking You
