Hiya! I’m new here and I’ve been natural for a little over 2years and I have mainly 4a hair with bits of 3c and 4b. I’m low-po and it’s annoying me to death. Whenever I use a cream based product on my hair, it will turn my hair white for ages! I can’t leave my house right after I’ve styled my hair because of this problem. I’m also the official queen of shrinkage and frizz. When wet my collarbone length hair becomes skull length lol. Sorry for ranting but I could really use some support and advice. I’m the only natural person in my house and my mum is a notorious curl killer (she roots, yanks and combs my hair whenever she feels it’s untidy) her definition of tidy hair is a perm.

Signature

hair type mainly 4a, bits of 3c and 4b with the lowest of low porosity LOL  Regime CG method, co wash with Tresemme Naturals, Schwarzkopf pomegranate. SLS free poo from bodyshop [color=green] I’m currently collarbone length :D [\color]

Yep join the club! I’ve learned to seal water based products / leave in conditioners into my hair with thick natural oils, like Pure West Indian Castor or Blue Magic 100% Natural Caster, Aloe & Shea hair dress. Its the only way my hair absorbs anything.

And then I use a cream or gel to style /define plus a water & oil based spritz to soften & refresh the dry curls on a daily basis.
