Is this the longest product name ever?  Well, they do need to be specific because fructis have a lot of gels out there, but the one I’ve tried is ‘‘Fructis High Resistance Gel Endurance 24 Hour Ultra Strong Hold’’ (green tube with orange lid).  I’ve included aphoto to try and avoid confusion.

The ingredients are:
Water VP/VA copolymer, propylene glycol, triethanolamine, carbomer, phenoxyethanol, peg-40 hydrogenated caster oil, peg-192 apricot kenerl glycerides, peg-70 mango glycerides, chlorphenesin, limonene, pentasodium pentetate, linalool, citrus medica limonum extract / lemon fruit extract, amyl cinnamal, fragrance

I scrunched it on yesterday over the top of recoil and was amazed by the results.

Its a bit thicker than most gels, so I applied in a few 5p sized blobs to make sure I had it where I wanted it rather than in one lump.  It soaked into my hair almost straight away, did not feel sticky at all and smelt good too.

There’s no crunch at all on drying, so no risk of generating frizz when srunching out.  And the hold was great, but not rigid.  It also made my hair very shiney.  All in all, I think its great and will be using again today.  I’m a little reluctant to say I love it because, well, when I say that my hair changes its mind.  But yes, I love it!

And one more thing, the marketing bumf on the back says its resistant to humidity too, but as CrystalTips has pointed out, we’ll be the judge of that thank you very much!

Hehee, me too!  I thought going CG would streamline my life but my little shelving unit in the bathroom is sagging under the weight of jars, bottles and tubes!

When Larraine Massey says in her book you only need conditioner and gel, she doesn’t explicitly say you only need ONE conditioner and ONE gel!  My interpretation is you need seven conditioners, three gels and any number of cremes, lotions and potions.

BTW, used it again today and same great results.  A bit of frizz but I’ve been in and out of the rain all day so can’t complain!

Ive bought the edurance gel but Ive got the invisable one, no I dont mean Im pretending ive bought it lol! there is actually one thats an edurance invisiable meant to be less noticable that you have gel on or something. Tallgirl how did you find the eurance gel compares to BRHG for hold?

TG pointed out on the gel thread in ‘High Street Products’ that the ‘invisible’ gel has alcohol denat and dimethicone in it.  hmmm
