Hi ladies,

I havent been on here for awhile, life has just been so busy, but im back and keen on sharing and learning about natural hair, the wonders and the nightmares. With this in mind, i was really thinking about organising a London meet-up, i am involved in a few of the natural hair facebook groups, but always seem to miss the meet=ups.

Is this something you guys would be interested in, i just think it wold begreat to meet some of the lovely ladies on the forum and be able to put a name to a face, kink, curl or coil. As much as i enjoy the forum, i just think it would be nice to share our stories face to face and possibly have a product swap/sale…i dunno lol

For those of you who are interested, it wold be great iof you could post your responswes with the area you live in and a venue you could recommend. I will then look at the answers, come up with a few in central and we can then take a vote.

I live in South, but have no preference for the location. I think a central bar / restaurant on a Sunday afternoon (less busy) would be best, perhaps we could reserve an area.

I’m also from south and would be happy tto travel to to central, a bar would most probably be best.

I guess we can look at venues once we have a few more replies, is anyone else interested?

I would be interested in coming, I Live in East London. Don’t mind travelling as long is it is an easy location to get to and find.

ooohhh this sounds like a great idea. I live in the north but I’d be glad to meet up in any central location

Did the meet up go ahead?  I haven’t been on the site for a while - kinda caved in to the GHDs…but I’m back on it now and determined not to give up!  Problem is, I have very few curly haired people around me to keep me inspired!!

I don’t think enough people have responded to this post. Would still like a meet up though.

We could still do it, then post loads of pics of how much fun we had!  That way, the next time we suggest a meet up, everyone will want to come!  Lol!!

I think its a good idea. i live in North London so would prefer to meet in central london ( on a saturday afternoon preferably).

I think you guys are right, we should just go ahead with it and then post loads of pics so everyone else can be jealous! lol please also feel free to bring along any other curly minded friends you may have!

How is everyones schedule for Saturday 8th or the 15th September?

Would the afternoon be good for everybody say around 2:30pmish?

Can you guys suggest a bar that we could go to that wouldnt mind us sitting around for a coupld of hours? (hmmmm racking my brain…)  I know of a few bars in South London but would be happy to go to Central as it would be easier for everyone.

Did the meetup go ahead? Can we organise another or does anyone know of one that will be happening soon? I’ve only been to one meetup before in Nigeria, but it was so much fun and a great way to meet people and share tips. I definitely wanna do one.
