Woo hoo!  Well done!

Can you try drinking something other than beer?  For eample if you have G and T instead would you miss the cigarettes as much?  Just a thought!

Keep up the good work Xxx

Well done!! You are doing great!

I had a bad experience with champix…I used it to quit two years ago and it was a trade off i wouldnt make again thats for sure!  I started out similar to you with wierd but funny dreams and feeling a bit sick with it, but ended up being taken off it by my doctor as i completely lost the plot.. totally around the hat rack as my mum says and the worst part was it took nearly a year after stopping champix for the side effects to stop!  I became a very different person, had depression, paranoia, anger issues and overall my health and energy disappeared.  I had to quit my job and nearly lost my partner.  Was really scary… i thought i was never going to recover, so i would definately say to leave it alone from my experience… not worth what it did to me.

You dont need it anyway! Go girl! Kick smokey ass!!!

Well done Jehnibella!  I am desperate to quit the habit too at the moment, though using nicotine patches.  They worked really well for me before, and I quit for two years before stupidly starting again after I dumped my then boyfriend.  He was so clingy and I had soooooo much time on my hands when it ended that’s kinda how I ended up back on them again.  I am trying to locate some patches here on St Helena but I think you have to go up to the hospital to get them, which is a pain.  Unfortunately, I’m on a mini career break for one so have lots of free time, plus my OH and I are in the pub a lot here as there’s very little to do otherwise here, and you can smoke in pubs here - RETRO!  Still, I think my hair (and lungs) will thank me for it so I’d best get my ass up to that hospital!

Good luck with your fag-free efforts!
