For some reason I am slightly obsessed with being a red head! Probably caused by years of hating it and now I love it! Are there any other red heads on here? Am intrigued to discuss as there’s been lots of gingerism in the papers lately (ha ha!)

I think it’s weird as it’s similar to curly hair in that most of the stick I got was when I was younger and mostly now it’s compliments thank goodness!

I’m not a redhead BUT I love it…it looks a lot more interesting that most of the other colours. Espiecally if its natural (my mums a dyed redhead and it suits her, but I know some people who dye it and it really doesn’t look good on them).

Hi, i’m a redhead not naturally though! my hair used to be very red when I was younger but as i’ve aged it’s gone darker so now I just dye it. I would love to be ginger it’s sutch a beautiful colour,unique, my DH always calls me “ginger” and it’s the only hair colour that really suits me anyway.

i absolutely love that lady from emmerdale…i wish i had her colouring…its such a beautiful colour red and it totally suits her skin tone which is also gorgeous!

Red would really suit me too—I am freckly and green eyed— I’m just not up for the maintenance and damage, plus my eyebrows are so dark. Maybe when I go more grey!

I keep getting asked if I am worried I might one day have ginger kids!!! Sadly the odds are against me on that one as husband probably doesn’t carry the gene…! There’s lots of odd queries on the Internet about expectant mums worried they might have a ginger, nice to see their childs health is top of their concerns!!!

Unbelievable! A friend’s daughter has red hair - she and her hair are totally gorgeous!

My mum always wanted a ginger child, I think she was quite disappointed when I popped out!  SHe even had special names just in case one of us was a redhead.  I can’t rememer what the girls name was, but if either of my brothers was ginger they would have ended up being Thomas Edmund!

I`m a redhead Started out as a kinds strawberry blond red these days its more auburn dark copper red so has darkened some and I also have to keep putting colour on it now coz ive got some white hairs which looked ok when they first appeared as a sandy colour but now they are white :(  started prematurely at 21! still the majority of my hair is hanging on to the red though People annoy me who have a problem with ginger hair its a great colour to have!. I also get sick of people telling me to use fake tan coz im really pale like its a disease or something lol! Im proud to be pale and ginger and think I would look an idiot with fake tan on anyways   I also have a daughter with the most beautiful red hair like a copper strawberry blonde. Shes not a curly but beautiful silky straight hair that everyone admires. The gene for redhair is recessive so you never know if you will get a redhaired child. Both parents have to carry the gene but to be a carrier you dont have to have red hair. Often men who are carriers of the gene have ginger bits in their facial or body hair my eldest boy is like that though his hair is brown. Maybe I will also get redhaired grandchildren in the future, heres hoping I keep the red hair gene going

this made me laugh cos it’s all the same for me! I’m always being asked why I’m so pale..because that’s my skin colour!

I would love a Ginger child but it’s very doubtful my husband carries the gene at all with his ancestry. Dammit! But his hair is almost curly so there’s hope for a curly head!

I love her hair! And I have to admit that I didpunch the air in admiration and excitement of having seen such beautiful curls on tele.

Has anyone ever seen 8 simple rules? The girl who played Kerri was an idol of mine whe I was a tween.
