Normally I only do treatments on wet hair. I have learnt from my own experiences and asking hairdressers that u always do treatment on damp / wet hair. I used to do treatments on dry and get little results. This is because the hair cuticle hasn’t opened and the treatment can’t penetrate, (at least I think that’s the explanation i was given!) Anyway, you get much better result when done on wet and/or shampooed hair than dry, then you seal it with cold / tepid water when washing everything out! I’m going to do the coconut one, when I get the ingredients. However, from reading the instructions and looking at youtube, it seems people mainly do it on dry hair, so I’m going to dry it on dry, and see what happens I’d love to know how u found it because (from my readings) these types of treatments have a more noticeable effect on more loosely curled hair.

Haven’t had the time to go out and buy the ingredients for the caramel treatment. But I will do it at some point. If u want to know the results on a type 4, angel sista has done it and the results are in her curl diary. I brought the stuff for the coconut one, but I can’t see to find coconut cocentrate anywhere! I don’t even think they sell it in England!

Hey hun!

yeah i know its hard to find ingredients for some American recipies and they call things different over there. Do you know of that coconut cream that comes in in hard blockes- looks like a bar of soap and loadsa people use it for rice an peas? I think that would be our version cus wen you buy it, it is also seperated, like in that youtoube link- oil on top with the crean on the bottom, you could try that?

I use the coconut cream all the time! I love it! But on the youtube vids, the concentrate looked more like a kind of thick hair product. It looked different to the cream. I thought about buying that instead, but I’m not sure if it would work! But I might give it a try now. Thanks for the suggestion.
