There’s lots of girls here with beautiful long curly hair(totally jealous!) and ideas on how to style.  I’ve had to go shorter and shorter with mine as it suffered after having my third child - totally damaged after years of straightening and lost loads after i stopped breast feeding. It’s beginning to recover now slowly.

Now it’s a ‘wedge’ shape and extremely curly and frizzy with fine curls and not really chunky curls- I’ve been trying CG method since September - still not totally great. I got all excited about the curly pudding and meringue but haven’t had much luck yet. I’ve resorted to using my straighteners to curl lengths together(especially around the top and fringe) - I know, totally the wrong thing to do but if i didn’t I’d just be a blue rinse away from having a granny look perm!

Any tips or product ideas for short hair?

Hi Wendy, I was just wondering if you’ve tried something like flat twists along the front of your hair going back to the top of your head then clipping from that point and maybe diffusing the rest of your hair to gain volume. I’ve seen this look and it looks great on short and long hair. I think it actually works on any curly hair much better than straight hair.  You can add pretty clips to make it look different every day.
Or have you tried twisting sections of your hair when wet,  taking chunks which when dry look really different from the usual curl. I start from one side and work my way arond my head a bit at a time.
That’s a couple of ideas you could try out but I’m sure other people will have some more ideas to try.
Hope that helps.

thanks Simplynikki27,
I did look at the two web links on another thread about twisting the hair and then shaking the dried twists out - I’ll give it a try with the longer lengths at the front and on top.  I also think I need to try out the Miss Jessie stuff I’ve got again.
