It does a bit for me, but I don’t care…the flight times are awful to Turkey in the summer (and thats the only place I’ve gone since I’ve worn my hair natural).

It gets wrecked on the coach on the way to/from the resort as well (air conditioning blows it everywhere).

A quick shake upside down usually sorts it out, but at that time of night, with that little sleep, I’d probably fall over if I did that. And anyway, I’m usually too busy waiting at the baggage carosel ‘cos all my hair stuff is in the suitcase!

If I’m on a long-haul flight, I just tie my hair up. I wouldn’t want to spend the whole time fretting about sleeping on my hair lest I flatten it!

Same here. I usually give it a goodly amount of leave-in the morning of the flight, and then just leave it in a braid or a ponytail/bun for the flight.  It’ll dry out considerably, so do a DT before and after the flight if you have time.  grin  I wriggle about too much on the journey (coach - terminal - plane - car - about 16 hours total) to really do much else - and to be honest, I’m on a plane.  Don’t much mind what I look like so long as I’m safe and on the right flight.  I don’t do short hops generally, though, just trans-atlantic, so for the frequent flyer it might be different.

With long travel, my hair are rubbish, really dried out by the airconditioning. So, I generally just do a ponytail and don’t really care about my hair during the travel because, as Odditywings said, I’m mostly focusing on all things there is to do (customs, etc).
So, yes, a good DT before an after is a good option to restore the lost moisture.
