Hi
I’m new to this method and have wavy hair.
Looking for a suitable mousse to use… on the CG items availale in the UK forum, I see there is only one mousse listed and I am unable to get that easily. Was wondering if Umberto Gianni’s Shapely Curl Friends mousse is ok to use? Also using Batiste dry shampoo, is that ok?
THanks,
Pinkmarshmallow

Im sure either Naked or Organix in boots have a CG mousse.

The Umberto Gianinni mousse in the pink can is fine to use - I used to use it (as well as Pantene mousse) but the alcohol tends to dry my hair out too much. I much prefer their curl friends jelly, better hold and less drying.

Signature

Wash: Pure Nuff Stuff hair cleanser or Black soap
Rinse out: Faith in Nature Jojoba
Leave-in: If I use one, it’s AOHR
Gel: Home-made flax/aloe/jojoba mix
Scrunchy crunchy: Anita Grant cafe latte
Odds & ends: ACV & honey
I love Flexi-8’s & anything by Anita Grant, Akamuti or Pure Nuff Stuff

Thank you for your replies, ladies.
Another trip to Boots is on the way…..
Will also try their curl jelly, thanks for the tip. Yeah I saw that Naked does a mousse on the website, but my small local store didn’t stock it:(  I think the do stock organix though.
Also… what about Batiste dry shampoo? I’ve used it today on third day hair….don’t think I’ve gone this long without washing my hair since I was a kid!  Knew I wasn’t goin to go out anywhere today so was willing to risk it….and honestly it looks fine, so please please please someone tell me Batiste is CG-friendly!!
Thanks

I’ve never used the Baptiste, and I’m not familiar with the ingredients but found this on the Boots site:
Contains ingredients:
Butane, Isobutane, Propane, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Starch, Alcohol Denat., Parfum (Fragrance), Distearyldimonium Chloride

It’s got alcohol - drying - and assuming these are ALL the ingredients they look ok. Very flammable!

I’m glad that the dry shampoo looks CG - I STILL have greasy roots (it doesn’t feel like product build up though) so thats sort of necessary for me. Though I must admit it looked so bad this morning I put talcum powder in it as didn’t have any dry shampoo.

Hi guys,

Just wanted to ask about the boots pink curl cream. Am planning to get some of it on my next visit, was wondring is it silicon free? because im planning to try the naked range with it and since it dusnt have SLS etc it wouldnt wash out the silicons as far as i know, was just wondering if it might lead to build up because my shampoo wont be able to clean it.
I cant view the ingredients on the boots website, keeps crashing my computer.

does anyone know?

Thank u

Yeah, its fine (I love it). Just don’t use too much as it will feel really producty, even though it does co-wash out.

Thank you for your replies guys!...got some of the curl creme and ended up buying quite a few of the Naked hair products..so far so good..already my hair is feeling less dried out and softer..but aaaah getting use to the curly hair now…and trying to find a good spray styling product..maybe a leav in conditioner…something to use for 2nd 3rd day hair…(it might sound grosss but i really can’t wash my hair more then twice a week).

Thank you agen! smile hope u guys are all well
