Been meaning to write a little review on this wonderful product since I used it first time!  Oh wow is all I can say to be honest!

As you may know, I was looking for an alternative to KCCC that wasn’t so expensive but did roughly the same job.  At Keisha Jo’s recommendation, I bought this…..

I co-washed as usual and didn’t apply any leave-in (from KJ’s advice), scrunched out most of the water and I then applied quite a bit evenly all over my hair (just raking through really, whereas I would normally use a Denman with other products).  It is a weird looking product - like a sort of paste but it smells delicious (like caramel, and trust me, you will want to eat it!)  I did my make up etc and got dressed and then diffused - my hair was reasonably dry by now (hadn’t plopped) and dried into the same ringlets and spirals and defined curls that I get with KCCC.  I was amazed, the drying time was sooo greatly reduced and my hair was a lot shinier than with KCCC.  I’ve found that each morning, by just dampening hair again and reapplying a little product (and diffusing a little), I get exactly the same effect - defined, shiny, soft curls.

I guess I want to say a huge thanks to Keisha Jo for her recommendation - this product is fab, does the job and a little goes a long way (you can even use a little like a serum on the drier ends of your hair).  I would go so far as to say that this is actually a MUCH better product than KCCC - far simpler to use, no need to plop and drying time is reduced by several hours for me (KCCC takes way too long!)  Plus it comes in a huge lovely tub and is much more economical as you don’t need a leave in!

Could I go on anymore?!!!

Fabulous CherryBlue! Glad to hear it worked for you smile

The main difference for me is that for my hair type I find the Kinky-Curly much more moisturising and the curl elongation is much better. But I too like the Curl Control Gel but I never get more than first day hair with it whereas I get up to 4 day hair easy with Kinky-Curly smile It’s great to have options cheese

Sounds great!  I love my KCCC, but I might just have to try this.  I looked at it in the Emporium but didn’t see a size on it.  Can someone tell me for the sake of price comparison?  Cheers.

Yeah I love crown pride products! The curl control is a hit for me too. I had the coffee butter and it soo rich & silky my hair felt great. I might reordered but I really want to try there other CP goodies. I think there realy good quality -u don’t need a lot & last for ages. My curls lasted 4days with this. I usually rinse out most of my conditioner then put on CP control. Each day just damped & add alittle more CP if needed.

Hi, where does everyone buy the Crown Pride gel? (I don’t see it in the emporium?). Anything that is comparable to KCCC for cheaper sounds good to me! grin

Oh no, no, no!!! Don’t tell me any more!!! LOL!!! I am dying to try this gel now - bad, bad, BAD!

I have only used the Crown Pride Avocado detangler so far but really love it! Have been using it as a leave in under Fuzzy Duck gel and, although the hold is minimal, my hair is soft and curly with good volume! Plus this combination gives me the quickest drying time (15 mins diffusing plus about an hour air drying). I think this combo will be great in the Summer (if it ever gets close to arriving - storm in London at the moment!)

Edit: Forgot to say - although KCCC gives really great curl - there is still a fine balancing act with it for me between getting very crispy, stringy noodles and great well defined curls. Plus, out of all the product combos I use, if I use KCCC my hair will take hours to dry mad

Can I ask those who regularly use Crown Pride Curl Control Styling Gel,do you find it makes your hair a tad crunchy? I love how quickly it dries but like how my hair feels with the KCCC. The CPCCSG cost wise seems more feasible though, any advice?

I have been using this gel for the past few weeks and am loving it!

I find it does dry crunchy, but its easily crunched out with a little of the painya hair butter, which leaves me with soft curls and plenty of Volume.

I ♥ this Gel!

I tried this after reading the reviews and it is FAB!  It dries really crunchy for me but scrunch with a hair milk and I have soft, full curls.  I have 3a/b/c (who knows!) hair

Hair type: 3a/b/c - still can’t decide
Texture: coarse and overly porous
no consistent routine at the moment, until I figure out what my hair likes and doesn’t like
Naturally a dark brown, with red highlights from the summer sun (rare!) However loads of snow white coming through which I like - honestly wink
