Allows for beautiful double strand twist styles.The Type 4 hair desires moisture (100%), with little or no control. The thickness and density eliminates a control. Everyone thinks this hair is the strongest but it is the weakest and the winter weather is not a friend of type 4 hair.

Amazing sealant for 4b hair!!

I was going to write off this product because it is too heavy for my daughter's 2c-3a hair. However, I tried it on my own hair and it's perfect to seal. Following the shampoo and Bee Mine luscious leave in, I apply this as a seal and it has given me the best results yet. I would not use on hair that is in the Type 3 range...but it does say Type 4 hair cream!
The absolute best, smell could be more subtle

This cream is fantastic. I have switched to a low-manipulation routine and have tried two strand twists which just don't hold on my fine non porous 4a hair. I refused to give up or turn to a "hold" product because they are more difficult to wash out and I now wash my hair once or twice weekly now that I am natural. So this product has turned out to be magnificent. True, I don't like the spearmint smell, but the dense structure of the cream give hold without any grease or gel/hold feel. It's perfect for 4a hair. It's moisturizing but just in case, I use Hairveda Whipped Ends hydration and use the type 4 cream to seal. I sent an email to Myhoneychild to ask for the same product with a more subtle smell and they said to try the honey cream or buttery soy so I'll be ordering those samples just in case I can get the same "seal" (I love how this company has decent prices for samples!). Otherwise I will stick to the Type 4 cream because I have finally found a cream that really seals my ends now that I am focused on length retention. Thank you MyHoneyChild!

I was excited about trying this product based on the reviews but found that it's not suitable for me... luckily for sample sizes. I tried the product a few times when I let my hair grow out a bit and again when I shaved my hair to a 1/4 of an inch. The reasons it did not work for me:

1) I didn't like the fragrance: The spearmint is quite strong and I don't think I like it for a hair product.

2) I did like the texture of it (it's a thick cream) but it may be too heavy for my hair and leaves a coated glistening type film on my hair unlike the smooth shiny look I normally get with other products. I could probably compare it to spraying hair with mineral oil hair sheen and letting it sit on the hair. I am not too keen on that look.

The other reviewers seemed to get good results so if you don't mind the smell of spearmint and like thick products and wish to give it a go, start out with the 2oz as there is a great amount in there before you buy the large one.

I think I'll pass this one on to my mate to try.

So I received the creme today and I must say I love it! After a wash and condition I put in on damp hair and oh my hair feels so soft! It reduced the skrinkage a lot and no dryness. The curls just popped out!

I used this product on half my hair after washing and aplying a little leavin. And it softened,stretched out and defined the curly spirals of my 4a shruken fro at the back of my hair, to my amazement.. its still stretch this morning soft and de tangled! i am suprised bcus the back of my hair has never had definition from any product!!..

will use this for the parts of my hair that is 4a.
i recommend it xx
