Ordered this on a whim and am so glad I did - it may just turn out to be my HG product. When it arrived I was a little disappointed when I opened it. I was expecting a gel - you know the kind of see through, coloured type gel you see on the high street - well this looked and felt like creme - my hair doesn't really like creme stylers so my heart sank. I was so glad to have ordered my normal Jessie Curl at the same time!!
However, the next morning in my usual rush for work I sprizted my hair with lavendar water and put some of this on - WOW WOW WOW! At this point I was on day 5 hair - (skanky but true!!) so I already had a wonderful concotion of styling products on my hair but you can imagine what it looked like - I usually co-wash every other day (I'd been busy!) Before I put this on my hair was producty looking, frizzy and generally looking 5 day ish! After I sprizted with water and put this on my hair went very curly and much less frizzy!! The curls were defined and bouncy even the bits that had started to look weighed down and straight jumped right back up! But the best part was when it dried - no crunch just soft, bouncy defined curls!!
The next day I (finally) washed my hair and wondered if the previous good result had been a fluke due to the concotion of products on my hair but no -it worked just as well the second day on newly washed hair! I put a very rich leav in underneath - may not be necessary for everyone as this gel is very moisturinsing, but I have VERY dry hair. Againb my hair sprang up and was very curly and soft! Two things to mention - one some people may not like the shrinkage but I will take that for lovely soft, defined curls with minimal frizz. The second is really hard to describe - when you put it on wet hair your get a very funny 'squeaky' feeling where the product is! Its not a bad thing its just a weird thing but at least it helps me know I when I have product in the right places!!
I am now on second day hair with it and have simply spritzed and scrunched :-)
I am hoping that this product conitnues to be as good as time goes on - but so far so Brilliant!!!

if you need a good hold gel you will like this , it does not give super glue like hold lol ? but i found my braidout was alittle too stiff to style with my fingers so i added my sealant oil to soften my hair up and it was ok but 4 days after washing my 4a hair was gasping for moister so i used my darcys vanilla styling creme after damping my hair with water and the next day my hair was soft and curly again after i took out my braids hmmmm i won't throw this away but will use it as a hold gel if ever needed .

Smells of vanilla cream soda, intense and heady.
Feels like a light cream, it's not heavy to touch at all and easy to distribute. For my wavy 2b, medium/fine, medium porosity it was too oily for wet hair and it dried a bit greasy looking. Works much better for me on dry hair to smooth frizzy halo. Tiny amount needed. Sample size will last a while. Imagine very dry types would get on well with it.
