WHAT IS IT?: a NEW super detangling leave-in that can help you moisturize and style your curls and coils. You only need a little to help you smooth out your hair. It can be used alone or can provide a great base for other styling products. It can also be used as a rinse-out or on dry hair to add moisture when needed or as a styling aid for twists & braids.

Smells good shame about the residue

This product is okay, it helps untangle curls and is a good leave in, the problem is i found it left a lot of residue in my hair and also made my hair feel very heavy. im throwing almost a full bottle away as a result, will not buy again. 4a/b

an amazing hair lotion! After hearing so much about it and saving up I went ahead to purchase this cream. When it came and I looked at it: consistency, feel, even shook the bottle I was so close to being annoyed with myself once again for buying something I thought was water in a bottle. HOW WRONG I WAS! I put this on my hair and in an instant MOISTURE! SLIP! AMAZINGNESS! I couldnt believe it! I actually stood there speechless! Will defo be repurchasing. Whether on dry or recently washed hair it goes on beautifully. I'm in awe!

...one needs of this for such slip.

I apply this to freshly washed wet/damp hair and rake it through. Within seconds it is ready to detangle my hair if it hasn't been done already.

I wish I a. found this sooner and b. didn't start using this until I had used up all the old leave-ins before, now I'm stuck. I have a kinky/curly medium textured curls, which is of low to normal porosity depending on whereabouts in my head it is. For you to gain an understanding of my hair and what works for it my hair very much looks like a 4a/3c but isn't a great fan of butters and rather prefers lotions.

Ce produit est de la même qualité que Kinky Curly Knot Today. Il glisse beaucoup plus sur les cheveux et facilite encore plus le démelage. J'en suis ravie. Ça fait maintenant partie de ma routine et remplace KCKT et tous les autres leave-ins. J'ai pourtant les cheveux 4c très qui s'emmêlent tellement très facilement que je lave mes cheveux en nattes plutôt qu'en afro.

To me, this product is a must for Type 4 hair:

My use of it: I use it as a leave in, after washing with either Jessicurl Cleansing Cream or CJ Daily fix. I seal with My Honey Child Type 4 cream

Texture of product: light and very very slippery.

The slip is so amazing that it reduces the mechanical damage of my comb when I detangle after washing before doing twists.

What's special: It's also very moisturizing and has a combination of natural products and humectants like Behentrimonium Methosulfate. My hair loves this ingredient. I love panthenol in leave-ins because it stimulates hair growth.

What I love best is the wonderful slip.
It's the most slip I have gotten from any product, including KK knot today and Darcy's daily leave in or smoothing cocoa cream, and Komaza's califia leave in.

The product is not as expensive as I thought because the bottle is 12 oz instead of 8oz, that's 50% more product so the price makes sense.

The only negative: I really wish SALON SIZE was available. That could reduce the price. I still give it 5 stars and hope that with time CJ can offer salon sizes.

I'm a mixed race 3c/4a thick course dry hair type and this product works magic on my hair! Using it on just washed damp hair, my hair is transformed into soft, defined, non greasy, beautiful hanging curly hair :) you only need a little (which I never thought I could say about a product) but unfortunately for me the next day doesn't look so good even if I re damp and daily long term use didn't improve the quality of my hair BUT will always keep a bottle for those special occasions!

i just used this once and i threw away my tigi leave in.it made my dry,curly hair moisturised and my hair drank it up,and the smell is sweet but not too overpowering,i really like this and cant wait to try other products from this range.

I have 3b hair and this product does an amazing job at smoothing my very dry curls and melts in to hair beautifully. My comb glides through my hair which had always been a problem before. It smells like vanilla cupcake frosting which could never be a bad thing :)

I apply this to very wet hair and use Curl Queen by CJ on top of this to give me great curl definition.

out of all natural lines i've tried on my 3b/c this was the top leave-in, moisturizes and defines without completely killing the frizz or weighing down hair, it gives me just what i want. i used it on wet hair straight out of the shower, and also as a daily moisturizer. i know now why so many naturals rave about it :) def recommend it!

If you like how soft, slippery and shiny your hair looks when you have conditioner in your hair in the shower, then you will love this. I spray my type 4 hair in the morning with distilled water (I bought my own water distiller and it makes a difference as a final rinse) and then use some of the Smoothing Lotion. My hair is soft, shiny and moisturised throughout the day. If the air is very during the day all you have to do is wet your hands and smooth it over your hair and it reactivates the slippery feeling. This is a definite repurchase for me. I now have a simple set of hair products from Curl Junkie. I will continue to use the Daily Fix and the Smoothing Lotion for my low maintenance natural hair care.
A must try product!!!

I received this product this morning (took only 2 days to come by Royal Mail)...Super fast!
Woweee!!! Where have you been! I have tried all the well known brands and none have been as good as they promise. Aveda, Redken, L'Oreal, Ojon, nothing has quenched my hair like this Curl Assurance Lotion. Unbelieveable...I can now go out on windy/damp days!

it smells lovely, very fresh, use it on my 4a/b hair and get good definition and softness. does not have neasty build up, very moisturizing, can use on hair wet or dry and good detangler. onto a winner here :-)

Ce leave in fait des merveilles!!!! j'ai les cheveux assouplis et je n'avais jamais trouvé de leave in correcte jusqu'à maintenant !! Mes cheveux sont tout doux hydratés et légers et ils ne frisotte pas !! Mes repousses 3c/4a sont également bien définies !!!Et mes pointes envolées! Vraiment J'adore!!!!

On a personal level I would actually rate this product 3 stars, but I didnt want to take too many away since it adheres to its primary objective (ie, moisturisation) perfectly. My dry hair does not dry out all day with this in it.

The only downside is that for some reason my 3A curls stretch out in 2ish territory, even with the aid of my usual styling products and scrunching gels.

I love the way its been making my hair feel, so I still use it on a day to day basis, but when I have a big event or a date with a hottie, this wont be on my pre-pamper itinerary.

I can use this leave-in by itself! It gives me a little hold and bouncy curls.
