  1. Not the hold of Kinky Curly...

Posted by Annoyed 3a/b curly girl on 19th Apr 2012

I love the brand Curl Junkie. I was looking for a product to top my leave in, which is either Darcy's daily leave in, KKKnot today, or my favorite, curls Milkshake.

The Curl Queen is not a product that can top my 3a/b hair.
I has NO HOLD. It did not mix well with any product, not even when I tried it with CJ Smoothing lotion. I spend a lot trying new products to compare what is best.

The Curl Queen does not compare AT ALL with the bestselling Kinky Curly Custard, which is so far my best "styling/finish" product.

    Curl queen CONS
    -no moisture
    -no hold
-not really a barrier to humidity as claimed.

I could not figure out what to use it for.
I will not finish the bottle nor purchase again.
A waste! I'm mad because of the price and the lack of "try me" size from this brand, an outrage given prices. If I have to buy lots of products to figure out which one is right, then this raises the price per product and leads to a lot of waste.

  2. Highly reccommend this product

Posted by Simone 3b/c on 7th Feb 2012

Works lovely over the top of CCCC to give shiny curls and hold all day. Smells delicious and a little goes a long way so the bottle last a long time.

  3. Great curl definition and shine!!

Posted by Unknown on 5th Jan 2012

I was a bit sceptical about using this as I assumed being a gel, it would weight my hair down and leave my hair scrunchy with a wet look which I find undesirable. Purchased this after reading rave reviews and am not disappointed.

I get second and sometimes even 3rd day hair and my 3b curls have shine without the use of silicone. I will purchase again :)

  4. too soft

Posted by Unknown on 28th Nov 2011

I can't get this gel. Its not strong enough to hold my 2c/3a thick hair, although ok on next day dry hair or a bit of a serum type top up. Expensive for an occasional need product not for me.

  5. Brilliant. Absolutely love it!

Posted by Unknown on 10th Sep 2011

I have 2c/3a hair. I use it alone, no need for a leave-in, and it gives me frizz free curls with no crunch and no flakes. Lovely light, fresh smell too.

  6. Sticking with this gel!

Posted by Spuzzles on 4th Sep 2011

I love this gel! It gives me great, shiny curls every time, and virtually no scrunch to crunch out. After a year of trying all sorts of gels I have finally found the only gel I can rely on for my 3a/b fine hair. Just about to repurchase - wish it was available in salon sized bottles!

  7. impressive

I'm really impressed with this product. Ihave 3a/b hair and it gives me shiney, defined curls and absolutely no frizz! will definitely buy it again.

  8. Left me with white flecks in my hair

Posted by Unknown on 1st Jul 2011

A great product for defining my curls but my hair is baby soft and the hairs themselves are very fine (although there are alot of them!) using this product left dried on white bits in my hair no matter how little i used. If you have fine hair...beware! Curls in a bottle might be better for you...

  9. Brillant Product

Posted by Unknown on 21st May 2011

I love this gel, it is very easy to distribute and easy to crunch out after drying. Leaves my hair beautifully soft and shiny with a good curl pattern. Lasts all day without any frizz problems. A staple for me, and I love the smell too!

  10. love it

  12. super curls

Posted by curlyem on 28th Feb 2011

I have tried lots of products on my curls but this is by far the easiest to use with regards you don't need to use any other product and it is not amount sensitive. Gives lovely curls every time.

  13. Fantastic!

Posted by essexcurl on 18th Jan 2011

I used this over CJ CCCC and got beautiful, shiny, springy ringlets. My hair didn't take too long to dry either which is a bonus!

  14. Love it!

Posted by Wendy 3b on 26th Dec 2010

It gave me shiny ringlets. I used it with a leave-in under it (smoothing lotion).
