  1. No slip, weak scent and too thin

Posted by Unknown on 15th May 2012

Well the title says it all! I really wanted this to be a hit because the price is reasonable for the amount compared to my staple - CURLS coconut conditioner. At first I thought the smell was okayish but once I used it, it became weird smelling with a faint undertone of tropical fruits trying to escape. There was no slip, my 3c hair is fine and easy to detangle yet this conditioner made it difficult instead of easy. Additionally it was way too thin and I used 3x as much as i usually do, which negates the value for money thing. Tried on my daughters long 4a hair and still hated it. Even my daughter (who is 5) mentioned that she didn't like the product lol

  2. Love this stuff

Posted by Unknown on 4th Apr 2012

I use this as a light hair moisturiser for my afro 'kinky' twists and also as the conditioner in my water, conditioner, glycerin and oil braid spray mix and it is great. I don't think I would use it for a co-wash because it doesn't have the consistency I like for co-washing (not enough slip, not thick enough). For a LIGHT moisturiser it is perfect. Have also used it on dry 'out' hair and it's good for detangling and softening. Would definitely recommend if you want a light moisturiser before sealing. Especially good for fine hair as it will not weigh it down. I guess it could work for a leave in too, but I prefer something a little creamier/ richer for that. Good price too for a 16oz!

  3. Great but you need much!

Posted by Unknown on 11th Feb 2012

Well I REALLY like this conditioner. I used it as a leave-in and it was really great! I love the smell and my hair feels really soft but I still have a bit frizz and so I do not give it 5 stars.

  4. Good product to often

Posted by denisse on 7th Oct 2011

I have purchased this product twice already and planning to get it again. My hair 3c needs a refresh 2 or 3 times a week and for me this product works really good when i dont use an intensive treatment, which i usually use once a week.

  5. Great for cowashing!

Posted by Jules on 16th Jun 2011

My 4b/c hair loves this conditioner, especially for cowashing. As I love experimenting with products a lot, I find that if a certain product leaves my hair crunchy/dull looking, one rinse with this conditioner revives my hair to it's natural soft/shiny state it was before!

Definitely can't live without, would recommend!

  6. Great for detangling my coils

Posted by Astonished - Cambridge on 11th Mar 2011

I used this as a co-wash and found to my amazement that my thick coily hair had no knots in it after washing which is usually not the case. Normally water causes my coils to form the most unbelievable knots. Highly recommended for both thick coily hair and thick curly hair (my daughter's).

  7. not the worst, not the greatest either

Posted by Yella on 15th Feb 2011

This has good and bad points. First off the price is good for the size, and the smell is not that bad - very similar to one of Curl Junkie conditioners but I can't remember which.
however, it didn't really do much in the sense of moisturising my hair unless I left it on for a few minutes - About 5 and I found that I needed a couple of big handfuls of it, my hair is mid back 3b/c, normal to thick. I will continue to use what I have but
I'm not sure if I'll buy this again.

  8. My hair didn't like it at all.

Posted by Leona on 25th Jan 2011

Firstly I hate the smell of Hairveda hair products for being too cloying and too strong and this is no different. It smells like artificial strawberries and cream. When left in, it is too strong and I just found the smell extremely nauseating. It gave me a headache. I'm surprised as to how so many people are using this in such cold weather. All I got was dry, crispy hair because of the glycerin and coconut oil content. Maybe my hair does not like the ingredients. The consistency of this is like a serum and while it spreads well, it has next to no slip. I feel I would need the whole bottle to get slip on my short hair. I would not repurchase and don't think Hairveda is the line for me. It's a cheap line and the ingredients are pretty common for natural hair products.

  9. Great leave in

Posted by Grantelicious on 10th Jan 2011

This condish works really well as a leave in, it left my hair feeling really soft and moisturised. The consistency is not that thick so it didn't work well as a detangler on my 4a hair.

  10. love it!

Posted by Unknown on 16th Dec 2010

I use this as a moisturiser for my 4b hair. I have tried many natural product lines but my hair always remains dry. My hair loves this condish!

  11. Great product!

Posted by Michelle on 14th Dec 2010

I've used this as a leave in and it's great! It smells really good too. I've been out with only a little oil to seal and this conditioner (and no styling products) and had excellent results. Definitely a staple!

  12. Great for me and my son!

Posted by Unknown on 12th Dec 2010

I bought a sample of this for my two-year-old son (3b curls), and it is the first time for weeks that I've been able to properly detangle his hair... I was at the point of getting his beautiful curls all cut off, a bold move seeing as he has yet to have a haircut! I have now tried it on my 3c/4a curls, and it's just as good. It's not very thick so covers the hair easily, but unlike other conditioners that are like this it really teases out the tangles and combing is a breeze. I have also now used it as a semi leave-in in my son's hair and it has helped keep his hair smooth in this really dry cold spell. So now we get to use the same conditioner, how fab is that!
