i have mainly 4a with 3c and 4b, this product for me had no real slip, it did not moisturize my hair and only sat on it (given also that i have low porosity hair). i left it on for hours first, than tried using a steamer with it, than finally a hooded dryer. no difference was noticed.

I think this conditioner is ok. In order for it to really work on my hair I have to add oil to it, and in my opinion if I have to add extra ingredients to something especially if it is already pricey then I'm not sold. Once I use up this bottle I won't be repurchasing it.

I really wanted to like this product but it did nothing for my dry 3b hair. My curls didn't feel any softer after using this (I tried it both as a wash-out conditioner and as a DT) and in fact it made my scalp rather itchy! Moreover, de-tangling my hair with this product became a herculean task, as it provides NO slippage at all. Unfortunately I've got plenty of it left, so I may try using it as a hand cream.

I have 3c/4a hair. After I washed and deep conditioned my hair with this conditioner my hair felt soft and shiny. But i feel like i lost my curl pattern. The hair is so soft that it doesn't curl as it should. I tried it as a leave in. Again, it leaves my hair soft but the curls aren't as defined as i would like them to be. A little goes a long way if you want to use it as a leave in.

Very happy with my purchase of this product on British curlies. I was skeptical that this might not work on my 4c tight coils which I love to pull and touch. So excited that I am 5months post-relaxer. The conditioner did a great job. I even mixed it once with my Curl Harmony deep conditioner and the results were outstanding. Despite not using heat, curls were very very moisturized. Aubrey has been added to my hair regimen.

I don't get it. I've tried this product in so many ways. On dry hair, wet hair, on its own, with oils and honey added, with heat, without heat, overnight...and it just does nothing for me. I guess my expectations were just too high. (I'm 4b/c by the way)

organic conditioner: not too much slip - but very moisturising...can add other products (additional coconut oil etc) for a really deep DC. x
(I am 3c/4a)

I find this very moisturising when i use it with the HR shampoo. My hair is silky smooth. The consistency is very thick- i have fine 4a hair and find it loves thick conditioners and it does have a smell, i can't describe it, herbal/mediciney, either you'll love it or hate it but because it makes my hair feel so good i like it! I use it for 15 mins under a hood dryer after washing my hair. The next day my hair is always easy to manage.

Im giving it a 3 stars because ingredients aren't particularly harmful. In saying that it smells nice yes hair is soft BUT my scalp is sooooo flaky since using this product.
Maybe because the infusion of ingredients isnt working....I dont know.
Sorry wont be making this purchase again!!

I bought this looking for a deep conditioner that isn't packed with silicones, so when I tried this a wash-out I wasn't surprised when it went horribly wrong. It kind of sat on my hair making it more difficult to untangle.
However that night I spread a decent amount on my hair and wrapped up. When I washed it out the next day my hair felt so soft and moisturised, so it done what I needed it to do. I had just dyed my hair and the ends were pretty fried, since using this they are so soft and healthy. I also use this a moisturiser in my wash and goes because the dryness of my hair has always been a problem.
So basically I love the stuff as a deep conditioner and a moisturiser, and that all the ingredients are natural. Also it is very very thick so I can water it down to make it last longer! I think this might be my staple deep conditioner..
Also the smell is weird a mix between sunscreen lotion and hair removal cream, though it doesn't linger or bother me.

I either use this conditioner on dry hair over night or on damp hair under the steamer. Both result in beautifully soft hair. Only problem is that it is very thick thus it is hard to get out of the bottle. Also I end up using the whole bottle in one go. To make it go farther I use half the bottle and top it up with honey and yogurt.
I have used this conditioner for years and whenever I stray I always come back to this one.

i used this conditioner as a deep conditioner with a plastic cap, i like to leave deep conditioners in for longer as you get better results but with this one it kinda made my scalp burn after a while i had to rinse it out so quick i just couldnt leave it in any longer. itis still sat on my bathroom shelf so yes i would be using it again just not leaving it in longer.

AOHR was one of the first 'popular' CG conditioners I used, it's possibly one of the best, and no matter what I try, I just keep coming back to it. It's great for all-round moisture no matter what your hair type (though the dryer and more coarse you are the more likely you are to like it). I've used it as a daily rinse-out, a DT, and a leave-in - and it works well for all of these. My only gripes are the fact it has so little slip (at least for me), and the scent, which is certainly not honeysuckle rose but a very sweet, almost cloying floral.

This was the first conditioner I bought to start my CG routine and I haven't been without it since! It's great as a DT and a rinse out and it always leaves my hair nicely moisturised. This conditioner will always be in my product rotation!

I love it as a DT or rince out. Don't like as a leave in, though. My hair really looks better since I use it.
