I really like to use it to detangle my daughter's fine 3a/b hair. Over time and using more natural products and a low poo regimen, her hair has become moisturized, elongated and some shine she did not use to have. THe tangle teaser felt like a miracle to me at first because her hair used to tangle so much with all the shampoos. I would give this tool a 5 star except that I cannot tell -scientifically because I changed 2 things at the same time, hair products & tools- whether her now VERY EASY TO DETANGLE HAIR is due to solely the Tangle teezer or the hair products. Also, I sometimes feel like it's aggressive from the sound of it and I keep hearing so much about using a wide tooth comb. BUt seeing that she does not shed hair on the tangle teaser nor experience any breakage, I have to conclude that this tool absolutely does not hurt her fine hair. Her hair has also grown very much with just using a hydrating shampoo (herbal essence -Hello hydration or more natural shampoo Jessicurl GEntle shampoo) and Jessicurl conditioner. Sorry for the long message, hope it helps you newbies out there.

Great For Hard To Detangle Hair

I have type 4 hair, it's medium thickness but i have a lot of hair strands so my hair is very hard to detangle i find, i've tried a lot of wide tooth combs and even the denman brush and i=they just made the whole detangling experience painful and very long. Until i tried the tangle teezer for the first time yesterday i can safely say i'll never use anything else to detangle my hair, this brush is amazing! i love it!

I wasn't expecting much from this funny palm-shaped brush - in fact, I bought it on a whim because I was curious about it. It has absolutely surprised me - it really DOES tease tangles away in only a few minutes. I use it daily on my apt-to-tangle fine hair and not only does it detangle, it doesn't rip my hair to shreds while doing it. My only gripe is that it's perhaps a little too large to be easy to use while wet. Works fine on dry hair as well - as gentle as you can get for dry brushing.
